Drive by Brenda Rothert Blog Tour

Book 4 in the Fire On Ice series

Years of training are about to pay off for hockey player Nikola Vereshkova. A call to play in the big league means he can finally come through for those who need him. His relocation to Chicago comes with built-in friends – and one gorgeous enemy who was less than impressed with him after their first encounter.
Sadie Alexander knows all about the drastic measures men will take just to get laid. She’s not only experienced it first-hand, but lived to tell about it in her online column, Sadie Says. And even though she’s a die-hard independent woman on the outside, the recent marriage of her best friend has her secretly feeling more alone than ever.

Getting close to a foul-mouthed Russian hockey heartthrob was the last thing Sadie expected. And the timing couldn’t be worse since she’s sworn off of men for a writing assignment. The line between love and hate is eroding, and Niko and Sadie find themselves in deeper than they ever expected. Could something that started out wrong end up being just right?

Once again Brenda Rothert has written another five-star must read novel with Drive, the fourth book in her Fire on Ice Series. With each new book in the series, I wonder how she will live up to the greatness of the story before it. Every time, without fail, she absolutely captivates and charms me with her characters and words. This series has become one of my all-time favorites and she is an author who cannot write a bad story.

Drive features Nikola Vereshkova (Niko), an amateur hockey player introduced in Edge, who is looking to beef up his game and step into the big leagues of the NHL. Ladies, be prepared! Niko is one sexy Russian beast. The passion he brings to the rink and the bedroom will set you on fire.

Sadie Alexander, the heroine in this novel, was also introduced in Edge. She is fiercely loyal to her friends and doesn’t need a guy to make her feel complete. That’s why it’s easy for Sadie to blow off Niko’s advances with quick wit and a sassy attitude.

I cannot gush enough about how much I love this story. Ever since Brenda announced she would be writing Niko and Sadie’s story, I have been dying to get my hands on it. Sadie and Niko have a chemistry that scorches the pages. You fall in love with this hero and heroine so deeply as the story progresses. All while being treated to updates on all of the characters from the past novels in the series. There’s something so refreshing about Rothert’s writing. It’s flawless and forces you to invest yourself in every word. You don’t want to stop reading, but you want the story to continue on forever. You feel both satisfied and at a loss once the story ends.

I finished Drive feeling elated but also mourning the thought that this would be the last book in the Fire on Ice Series. Lucky for readers, Brenda Rothert is toying with the idea of another book for a character who introduced himself (and left one heck of an impression) in Niko’s story. If you haven’t had the pleasure of exploring Brenda Rothert’s Fire on Ice Series, I demand that you one-click each story now and get to reading! Once you meet Ryke, Luke, and Niko, you’ll wonder why you didn’t discover them sooner.
