We celebrating the release of You'll Think of Me by Lucia Franco from August 25-30!
Title: You'll Think of Me
Author: Lucia Franco
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publish date: August 25, 2014
With his thick southern drawl and seductive charm, Luke is the country boy everyone adores. He has his future mapped out, but his plans with Olivia are suddenly derailed when she makes a decision that blindsides him, changing the path they both envisioned.
As Luke struggles to keep everything in check during a difficult time in his life, he must put his trust in the one person who broke it to begin with. The last time they saw each other, Olivia busted his heart wide open, turning him into the man he is today.
When Olivia returns to her roots, just like Luke said she would, he is shocked for more reasons than one. Nine years have passed since they've seen each other, and when their roads collide unexpectedly, Luke can only push his worry and misgivings away for so long.
Things are different now—they are strangers—and the rope that once bound Olivia's heart to South Fork, Georgia is pulling her back in, forcing her to remember how it used to be all those years ago.
What a great debut novel for Lucia Franco. I really liked this second chance romance. Lucia writing was smooth and descriptive and really put me in the room with the characters. You’ll Think of Me has a small quick love triangle that added a lot of great drama and turmoil.
Olivia and Luke were together for four years before Olivia left to go to med school. Luke was heartbroken and broke up with her with no hope of a long distance relationship or heading to NYC with her.
This book starts nine years later when Olivia moves back to Georgia. We get to see snippets of Luke and her past relationship. Neither one had really moved in those nine years. Olivia starts a relationship with Nate only to have Luke be thrusted back into her life, rocking her new relationship and drudging up old memories.
I really liked Luke and Olivia. Luke was it for me. He was so swoon worthy. The words he would say to her or think about her had me melting at times.
“She was the beat to his melody and the one who made him feel alive.”
“She was like listening to his favorite artist on repeat, he could never get enough.”
I did struggle with liking the boyfriend Nate. He never did it for me. I felt he was too pushy and demanding. I am not sure if it was because I just wanted her with Luke or because he wasn’t my type of book boyfriend. But with lines like above, could you blame me?
Also, at times I wanted to reach through the book and smack Olivia since she kept Luke at arm’s length for so long. I really wanted to see more of Luke and Olivia’s new relationship but that was not in this book. I am not sure if they are getting a second book where we will get more of them together, but I would really like to see more of them.
