Now available: Strong Enough, the first book in the Tall, Dark, and Dangerous trilogy by M. Leighton! A dark and sexy read in the style of the bestselling Bad Boys novels.
That’s when I met Jasper. A bounty hunter with the eyes of a tiger and the nose of a bloodhound, he was supposed to help me find my father. What I didn’t know was that meeting him was no accident. Hunting people isn’t all that Jasper does. And helping me was only part of his plan. I just wish I’d found out sooner, before my heart got involved. But even then, I don’t know if I’d have done things differently.
Now, I have another choice to make—trust the man that I’m falling in love with and hope that he’ll do the right thing, or run as far away from him as I can get. And is he strong enough to let her?
Is she strong enough to trust the most dangerous man she’s ever met? And is he strong enough to let her?
I'm a huge fan of Michelle Leighton but unfortunately this book wasn't for me. I was very intrigued with Jasper King while reading about him in the With You Series, so my hopes were pretty high. The prologue had me hooked but as I kept going the story felt lacking. It was hard to stay interested in what I was reading. Maybe it was the insta-love? I'm not sure but it took me awhile to finish the story.
Muse Harper is an artist who is looking for her father who has been missing for a month. She's not making any progress with finding him so she hires Jasper King to help her out. Jasper is the total alpha male. Dark, dangerous and sexy. These two have an instant connection. Jasper being the bad boy of course doesn't think he deserves Muse. Muse however wants to show him he can have it all with her if he would let her in.
I know a lot of readers will love this story. I do hope you pick it up. It will take you on a roller coaster ride. Mystery, suspense, steamy scenes and two very strong willed characters. I think the series has some potential and I will be picking up the next book.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author M. Leighton is a native of Ohio. She relocated to the warmer climates of the South, where she can be near the water all summer and miss the snow all winter. Possessed of an overactive imagination from early in her childhood, Michelle finally found an acceptable outlet for her fantastical visions: literary fiction. Having written over a dozen novels, these days Michelle enjoys letting her mind wander to more romantic settings with sexy Southern guys, much like the one she married and the ones you'll find in her latest books. When her thoughts aren't roaming in that direction, she'll be riding horses, swimming in ponds and experiencing life on a ranch, all without leaving the cozy comfort of her office.
