Nuts by Alice Clayton

From New York Times bestselling author Alice Clayton, the first in a brand-new romance series telling the humorously sexy tale of Roxie, a private chef who gets a taste of love—but is it to stay, or to go?

After losing almost all of her clients in one fell swoop following an accident involving whipped cream, private chef to Hollywood’s elite Roxie Callahan gets a call from her flighty mother, saying she’s needed home in upstate New York to run the family diner. Once she's back in the Hudson Valley, local organic farmer Leo delivers Roxie a lovely bunch of walnuts, and soon sparks—and clothing—begin to fly. Leo believes that everything worth doing is worth doing slowly…and how! But will Roxie stay upstate, or will the lure of West Coast redemption tempt her back to Tinseltown?

I LOVED this book!! Alice Clayton has done it again. I don't think she can ever do wrong. She is an author that I will automatically one-click no matter what it is because I know it will be awesome.

Roxie Callahan is a private chef. Or was. She has a little incident with some butter and everything went downhill from there. Roxie is summoned back to her home town by her eccentric mother. Roxie couldn't get out of town fast enough when she was 18 and going back isn't exactly at the top of her priority list. I loved everything about Roxie. The ways she talked to herself, how likeable she was, and all her little quirks. I will never look at a bee the same way again.

Leo Maxwell is HOT. I want to move to small town America just for him. He's hot and funny and hot. I love how normal and down to earth he is. The instant chemistry between him and Roxie will make you laugh out loud and swoon at the same time.

I laughed so much during this book. It was like a breath of fresh air. Sometime you just need a good book that will leave you with a smile on your face. Alice Clayton delivers that every time. If you have never read an Alice Clayton book you are seriously missing out. Nuts is a great book to start with and it will leave you with all the feels and a happy heart.

Can I just say that I want a cook book made from this book? I NEED the recipes. Alice Clayton, I'm going to need you to get on that. Stat.

ALICE CLAYTON worked in the cosmetics industry for over a decade before picking up a pen (read laptop).

She enjoys gardening but not weeding, baking but not cleaning up, and finally convinced her long-time boyfriend to marry her.

Now, about that Bernese Mountain dog.
