Book Release- Clover by Braxton Cole

Clover Release Day

Clover Watson wants more from life than what she can find on her daddy's farm in southern Oregon. Young, smart, and driven, she has a plan and she refuses to be distracted from her goals. After four years at the University of Washington in Seattle, she heads home for the summer with her diploma and an acceptance letter to graduate school at University of Portland. She's sure she’s got things all figured out.

Except for Jake Feldman. He was one of her childhood friends, and she hasn't seen him since she left for college four years ago. This summer he's back in town and all grown up -- sweet, handsome, and completely smitten with Clover.

At first, she thinks a harmless summer fling is the perfect reward for her hard work at school. But as the summer continues and their romance grows, Jake challenges everything she thought she knew about herself and her plans. When the end of summer comes, Clover is forced to evaluate what she really wants, but can she find a way to write Jake into her life?

Clover quote.6

Braxton Cole lives in the Pacific Northwest where she spends most of her time holed up in her office writing stories. When she's not writing, she can be found riding her bike, hiking the fabulous local trails, chasing her kids, or wishing that her thumb was a little more green. She has a bad habit of killing what she tries to grow, but hasn't given up hopes of one day being a successful urban farmer. Braxton writes erotic romance because romance is the stuff that makes life great, and sex is fun. The two belong together, both in life and in fiction.
Clover quote.8

She was sitting on the front steps when he pulled up, clearly showered and wearing a light summer dress instead of the skirt and tank top she’d had on earlier. Clover smiled softly when she got in.

“You came back.” She sounded as uncertain, yet hopeful, about things as he felt.

“Of course.” He kissed her cheek like she’d kissed his earlier and wished he had the nerve to move his mouth just a little to the side. That was all it would take to touch his lips to hers. Instead, he pulled back and shifted into drive. She settled into the middle seat right next to him with the length of her thigh pressed up against his. He much preferred to have her sit there than all the way over on the passenger side. He tried to sound casual, but he could feel his face flush with heat as he said, “I threw together some food in case we get hungry.”

“That’s sweet, thank you.” She stretched up and kissed his cheek. For one stuttering, suffocating, perfect moment, her lips touched his skin. His eyes drifted shut and held perfectly still. So far, their exchanges had been relatively chaste, but he felt something shift inside him with that kiss. His crush was moving far too quickly into something solid and his chest swelled with fear and hope. She lingered there for several seconds, close enough for him to feel the whisper of her breath against his skin. When she finally pulled away, he stayed in that position, stunned immobile by her closeness. She squeezed his leg, kissed his cheek again, quickly this time, then pulled away completely. “So, where are we going?”

He jerked into motion, embarrassed by his reaction. But what else could he expect? When a girl like Clover got close enough for him to smell the subtle fragrance of her shampoo and the lingering chlorine on her skin from the pool, well, something like that would always affect him. And this time it wasn’t just a girl like Clover; it was Clover herself. The crush he’d been cultivating for as long as he could remember had grown exponentially since he’d picked her up earlier that day.

He cleared his throat as he pulled out of the parking lot. “I have no idea. Where do you want to go?”

“Head south, toward the river.”

“You got it.” Instead of holding her hand this time, Jake settled his arm around Clover’s shoulder. As he pulled onto the highway, she rested her hand on his leg. Unlike before, she didn’t play with his inseam. Rather, she let her hand lie in one place, low by his knee, with her fingers curled around the inside. It was for the best, he knew. The distraction of her hand sliding high up on his thigh while driving was simply too much to ignore. He’d nearly wrapped his truck around a pole while trying to corner on the way into town earlier. He didn’t need a repeat event. Still, he missed the feel of her hand exploring. If he could figure out a way to say it without sounding like an asshole, he’d tell her that she was welcome to touch him whenever and however she wanted. The fear that she might actually take him up on it was enough to keep him silent. For now, though, he was happy simply to drive down the road with her sitting next to him.

Cover Reveal: Burning Hunger by Tory Richards

Burning Hunger is book #3 of the Evans brother’s trilogy. Book #1 is A Perfect Fit, and book #2 is Surrender to Desire. All are stand alone, erotic romances that take place in Texas. Books one and two have curvy heroines.

They say that opposites attract but Val and Chaz are equals when it comes to the bedroom. Neither are strangers to one-night stands, and partying hard. But all that’s in the past, and now they’re ready for something more steady, and fulfilling.

They come together out of necessity, and soon give in to temptation, unable to ignore the heat between them. Besides, they both know how the game is played, and what the outcome will be. Only this time, will it be different?

Have they finally met their match?

*Unedited*

“I hope you’re happy now.” Val’s soft, slightly amused voice interrupted the silence in the room.

Chaz lifted his head just enough to make eye contact with her. He couldn’t remember feeling so drained after making love. Val was a tigress in bed, unafraid of exposing her needs, or taking what she wanted.

“You’ve wanted to get inside my pants since we met,” she went on to explain when he remained quiet.

Chaz released a snort of laughter. Is she blaming me for this? Well, she was hardly innocent, first flirting with him at the restaurant, and then stripping down to nothing but a lacy thong with her door wide open. And unless he’d suddenly become hearing impaired he hadn’t heard the word no pass through her pretty lips once.

Still, her comment didn’t sit well with his sense of fairness. “I think we were both mutually satisfied, and one of us twice.” he pointed out. “All you had to do to stop me was say the word, no.”

“Would that have stopped you? You were going at it like a rutting bull.”

“What does a city girl like you know about rutting bulls?” He asked her with growing amusement. “Next time I fuck you I’ll take you from behind, standing, and give you a taste of how a bull takes his females.”

Her pretty mouth dropped open, and a spark of anger filled her eyes. Chaz was so busy running his gaze over her face that he didn’t see her move. The next thing he knew her palm was making contact with the side of his face. The sound of her slap echoed through-out the room.

“Feel better?”

She tried it again, only this time he was prepared and stopped her hand in mid-air. Laughing in the face of her anger, Chaz pulled her on top of him and lay back against the bed.

“You should never taunt an angry woman,” she said, squirming. “And what makes you think that there will be next time?” Her tone clearly said it would be over her dead body.

“You’re only saying that now because you just climaxed.” He easily held her, enjoying the luscious feel of her nakedness against him. “I bet it wouldn’t take me long to have you begging me to fuck you again.” Chaz leaned forward, and locked his mouth onto hers, surprised at the renewed lust speeding through his blood.

Everything about the tall, well-endowed beauty appealed to his libido. He pried her soft mouth open with his tongue, and entered the warm, sweet cavern, exploring her slick walls while swallowing her moans. After satisfying himself he moved his mouth down her chin.
“You’ll be very disappointed,” she gasped, raising her chin as he kissed his way down her throat. “I can be very stubborn.”

“So can I.” When he wanted something he didn’t give up. “And I’ve always liked a good challenge.”

She tried to pull away but it was a weak effort at best. Chaz grinned around the nipple in his mouth, before rolling it with his tongue as though it was the tastiest of candy.

Val gasped, and shook her head. “Let me go,” she said in a weak tone.

His gut told him that her token protest was for her own benefit. He transferred both of her wrists into one hand so his other could caress her body at his leisure. “So you can slap me again?” He took a plump breast in his palm, fondling and shaping it. Moving on, he trailed his fingertips lightly down Val’s body, causing the flesh beneath his fingers to quiver. “You have such a responsive body, Val.” He tugged at the wet hair between her legs.

“Oh!” she cried out.

“Do you want me to finger your cunt?” Chaz teased her by flicking his finger over her pussy. “Or would you like me to suck your clit until I make you come?”

Snippet:

"Your Pa put me in your bed. I'm sorry," Charlie whispered while he carefully returned his hand to his side again, releasing the corner of the sheet, which is what I assumed he used to wipe my mouth with. His eyes were fixed on my face.  They were dark right now, and they seemed…distant. Not that I have ever actually noticed Charlie's eyes this close before, but right now, as I looked into their depths, I realized that what I was seeing was more like heartbreak.

Snippet:

“No, I want to pen a reply, now, so it reaches there before we do. I want to have some wheels set into motion. If Captain Jefferies didn’t stop by today, I wouldn’t know about the land grants. This helps both of us.  It’s just a little longer.  What can go wrong?” There was the lengthy silence again. I could see in my mind’s eye my Papa running his hands through his hair. He did this when he was troubled or thinking hard on something.

“Oh Alright, I’ll do it, but if I have no wife to return to, I’ll quit. Then see if you can find as good a steward as me.” His voice sounded lighter and resigned. My Papa had just made a decision that affected us all in such a way that I couldn’t even comprehend.

Bio:

I was born in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, and raised in Alice Springs (the very center of the country). I have always loved reading and telling "tall tales" and wrote poetry all the time. My greatest influence was my grandpa Majid who kept us entertained all the time with his stories, music and passion for writing.
I didn't tell anyone I wrote when I started because I was to shy, I have no idea why I was like that. I don't care now, I have stories to tell and I want to share them. I am not, and never will profess to be an awesome writer, but I will try to entertain, while bringing to life the history of my country, one page at a time.
