When I read the synopsis to this book, I was so excited. I
like “rock star” books but I don’t always love them. But this book has a twist
to this genre. I am not even sure if you can put it in the “rock star”
category. This book definitely has tons of music and is based on that industry
but out hero is a rapper! I am a huge rap fan and was immediately intrigued by
this idea.
I was totally addicted to Trace and Taryn. Trace is a bad
ass, hotter than hot rapper from the ghetto of Chicago. Taryn is “America’s
Sweetheart” country girl from Texas. They shared the same production company and
were thrown together to collaborate on a song. Their chemistry in the studio
musically was off the charts. They started texting and talking on the phone
while they were both on their own tours. Trace and Taryn just had the best
connection. When they got together it was explosive! “TNT”. The sex was off the
chain! Lol.
This book totally sucked me in. I was into in that I plugged
in my earphones and had my Kindle read to me while I was driving to work. I
just didn’t want to put it down. I also loved that the authors decided to do an
interracial couple.
“I take off toward the
stairs with Taryn wrapped around me and make it to the first landing before I’m
stopped in my tracks by the sexiest fucking thing I’ve ever seen in my life. A
big-ass mirror hangs on the wall and I can’t help but admire the way her porcelain-
colored arms look draped across my dark skin and creamy legs wrapped around my
blank pants- it’s like a fucking work of art.”
There are some twists in turns in Trace and Taryn’s
relationship but they were solid. This book was great! I really liked it. I am
hoping that the Michelle Lynn and Nevaeh Lee continue this series, there were a
lot of great supporting characters. I highly suggest you grab this one and
devour it like I did.
Michelle Lynn
Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from
school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years
ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love
of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to
write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one
of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn’t
reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom
on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends. But after chasing

Nevaeh Lee
Nevaeh’s first exposure to writing began in a middle school creative
writing class. She was reprimanded for composing a politically incorrect story
and forced to re-write about a “safer” topic. Being the writing rebel that she
is, Nevaeh always likes to push the envelope a bit and never re-writes, unless her editor insists on it.
When she’s not writing, Nevaeh is a freelance book editor ;). And though she spends a good chunk of her time
reading, writing, and editing, she can also be found hanging out with her
family and taking road trips, exploring the area around wherever she happens to
be living at the time. Even though “home” will always be Texas, she has lived
in several different states and countries, but currently resides in the DC
metro area.
