Tanner made his choice, and there was no turning back from the hurt he caused. Amelia is left dealing with the aftermath and trying to juggle the new life she has been handed.
Worn down, she struggles to gain back the confidence she once possessed, and prove to everyone she is able to do things on her own—But when life takes another sharp turn in an unexpected direction, will she be able to let go and start fresh? Or is the pain too unbearable to forget?
If I had to sum up this book in one word, it would be sweet. Southernot Sweets is a light, fun read with a bit of emotion thrown in.
Amelia and Tanner were together for a brief moment of time. Tanner was having marital issues and headed to disvorce. They couldn't deny their chemistry. That is until something sends Tanner back to his wife. While he is back with her, Amelia finds out she is pregnant.
Of course Amelia is hurt. She was developing feelings for Tanner and thought their relationship was turning serious. When she needed his support he abandoned her for his cheating wife. She has every right to hate Tanner-even if he is a great father to their daughter.
Even though Tanner is back with Marissa, he can't deny his attraction to and feelings for Amelia. Nor can he blame her for having him. When things turn really south with Marissa, he realizes it is truly time to let her go and win back Amelia's heart.
Really liked Tanner. He was cocky, but had a soft heart, too soft when it came to Marissa. He truly is a good guy stuck in a hard place. I understand his choices, even when I'm frustrated by them. Amelia is a strong, independent woman. She is a perfect match for Tanner. All in all, this is a great book for when you are looking for a sweet contemporary read.
