I am in love with the Decadence After Dark series by M. Never. If you have't read it yet, now is the time to start. The first books in the series is deliciously dark and sexy. So, when I opened up Lie with Me on my Kindle, I was so excited to delve back into the world that the author created. While I absolutely loved this book, it was a lot different than what I was expecting.

This is CJ and Tara's story. If you've read any of the series, you'll remember that Tara is Ellie's sister who lives in New York. CJ is Juice, he was Kayne's handler. Tara and CJ hit is off immediately when they first met, then again at the wedding. I do believe that the two are perfect for each other, but Tara has a dark secret that she is keeping from CJ. In return, CJ keeps his job a secret. 

The story begins with CJ pining away in Hawaii for Tara who is across the country. Jett convinces him to take a trip to see her all the while covering for CJ when Kayne asks questions. Once CJ surprises Tara, the couple spend a magical, steamy weekend together that neither is ready to end. So CJ decides to stay for even longer. As the days go by feeling get deeper on both ends until the secrets brew to the surface.

CJ was the perfect mix of alpha and sweet. He isn't quite into the dark stuff that Kayne and Jett are into, but he is definitely dominate. Gah... some of the romantic things he did for Tara just made me fall in love with him. Tara on the other hand is sweet and sassy and loves every second of CJ's alpha ways. Again, the author created the perfect characters.

As I said before, this story isn't as dark as the other ones in the series. It took my mind a minute to adjust, as I was expecting a dark, erotic romance. What I got was sweet, hot, and erotic. Don't get me wrong, there were some dark, emotional elements in this story, just nothing compared to the rest of the series. However, it is a great addition and I can't wait to get my hands on Jett and London's story next!

No no no no no! Ahhhh! I need book 4 NOW! I can't handle the wait until August. This series. Gah! So freaking good! For me, Fervent is the darkest, toughest one of the series for me to read. Boy do some really dark and disturbing things happen to both Rafe and Alex.

In this one, they have been kidnapped. If you'll remember, Rafe lost his memory. The last 8 years wiped. However, they were taken for something that he did in prison. Alex is being punished for his sins. My heart bled for them. The things they, Alex mostly, had to endure is crazy. However, their captivity seems to bring them closer together.

This book, this series, is just so intense! It is emotional, heart pounding, tense, and gritty. There are moments of tenderness in the dark world that the author has created between really damaged characters. The little glimpses of humanity and hope add to the harshness of the story that has been created. Give me the last book now!

Sweet mother of dirty mouths! Whew! Reed Tennyson is nothing but hotness and so very, very swoon worthy. That is if you like some dirty talk. And by some I mean a hell of a lot. Needless to say, this book is HOT!

Not only does Reed get down and dirty, he is so sweet and has such a good heart. He was badly hurt by his ex girlfriend 9 years ago and does not trust women with his heart whatsoever. When I Fall is the 3rd book in The Alabama Summer series. I unfortunately have not read the first two books, but I am going to rectify that real soon. The writing, characters, and storyline were fantastic and I can't wait to read more by J. Daniels, starting with the first book of this series.
