Surrendering to Always by Chelsea M. Cameron

Title: Surrendering to Always (Surrender Saga, Book 4)
Author: Chelsea M. Cameron

They’re about to walk down the aisle, but more than one obstacle is standing in their way…

Rory Clarke didn’t want to get married until she was at least thirty. But then she hired sexy redheaded, chin-dimpled Lucah Blythe as her assistant at Clarke Enterprises and everything changed. She’s finally agreed to set a wedding date and plans are well underway. Rory's definitely starting to see the perks of being engaged and she couldn’t be happier. As long as everything goes her way, of course.

That is until not one, but two huge surprises rock her world, putting everything she’s planned in jeopardy. Her job, the wedding, the future she planned for herself. Lucah is there for her no matter what, but trusting someone else isn’t always easy, even if you love them more than anything.

Her road to the alter is a rough one, but will Rory decide it’s not worth the struggle to get there? Or will she take Lucah’s hand and throw herself into their future together?

Surrendering to Always is the fourth book in Chelsea M. Cameron's Surrender Saga, so if you haven't read the others in the series, you need to do that first. This story brings readers back to where it all began and continues Rory and Lucah's story as they prepare to get married and solidify their happily ever after.

I loved delving back into Rory's mind. This series (and spinoff serial) has been one of my favorite that Cameron's written. While I have enjoyed getting to read the stories of the supporting characters, I was elated to come full circle and return to the original couple that started it all. The dynamic between Lucah and Rory is everything I remembered it to be. They're playful and fun, but their passion ignites behind closed doors.

Happily ever after doesn't always come easily, and Rory has plenty of obstacles and reservations to get past before she can claim hers. She finds herself examining her priorities and aspects of her future she hadn't previously addressed. Her issues are something every bride-to-be can relate to and it makes her that much more human. Cameron kept the story interesting and incorporated unexpected twists that kept me engaged from start to finish. Readers are going to fall in love with Rory and Lucah all over again, and I loved getting a chance to experience their love story again.

Anchor by M. Mabie

I believe in love at first sight.
Now I know soulmates exist.

Nothing has ever been easy for us.
Every fight, every struggle, has been worth it.

I’m stubborn, but what woman isn’t?
She’s hard work and I love the overtime.

He’s frustrating and unpredictable. I hope he never changes.
I love driving her crazy. That’s half the fun.

Lou’s sexy curls.
Honeybee’s pink nose.

He still looks at me like I’m precious and unflawed.
She treats me like I’m the center of her world.

Our future will be full of happiness.
Despite everything, we’re two of the lucky ones.

I took the bait.
She was a lucky catch.

He is the wind in my sail.
She’s the anchor that grounds me.

The wake our love made is beautiful.
Every day I thank God for her.

No matter the hurdles, we’ve jumped them side-by-side.
No matter the obstacles, we’ve made it through together.

For better or for worse, I’d do it again.
I’ll love and protect her all the days of my life.

We made it.
We always will.

This. Book. Is. AMAZING. Seriously, it's everything you could hope for in Casey and Blake's final book. It's got it all; the feels, the humor, the hot sex, and a perfect amount of swoon-worthy lines.

Anchor is the final story for Blake and Casey. You must read this series in order so if you haven't, stop reading now and RUN to Amazon and buy Bait. It will change your life.

Blake and Casey have been through so much that all I wanted was one huge HEA book. I wanted to see them enjoy each other and not have to hide. I wanted to see all their cute quirks together. While it wasn't all flowers and honeybee's, I was left with a huge smile on my face.  My favorite part of this series is that each chapter ended with one thought and the next chapter started with the same thought. I LOVED that. At first I was really worried that Mo wasn't going to do that again. It took a little bit then I got what I wanted. I think that is pure genius. It shows just how connected these characters are to each other.

There were two chapters in this book that threw me off. I wanted this entire book to be Blake and Casey's POV. While I understand why Mabie did what she did, I don't really like it. I get it, it sets up the next books. It gives us a little behind the scenes info we wouldn't normally get from just Casey and Blake's POV but I wanted this book to be all about Betty and Lou. It didn't take away from my rating because this book is way better than 5 stars, it just made me scratch my head, in a bummed kind of way.

There were a couple times I cried during this book. Not because something tragic happened, but because it was so beautiful. I have connected with these characters since Bait and while reading certain scenes I just couldn't help but cry. I am talking snotty nose, can't see my kindle, ugly cry. Damn you Mo. I actually don't mind crying during a book. If I cry during a book it means that the author did her job. She wrote it so well that I feel like I am part of these characters.  I feel what they feel. I love when that happens.

This series officially has a spot on my top five list. Anchor is a book that I will re-read over and over again just to get my feels on. I loved how M. Mabie wrapped everything up perfectly. When you finish this book you will have tears in your eyes and a smile on your face. While you couldn't read Bait and Sail fast enough, Anchor is a book you will savour and read very slowly because you won't want it to end.

I seriously have no words. This book was amazing! One of the best series ending books I've read. This Wake series is definitely in my top series of all time. I fell in love with Blake and Casey right from the beginning and couldn’t wait to see how their story ended.

I was so excited to get my hands on Anchor and M. Mabie didn’t disappoint. I’m not going to say a lot about the story because I don’t want to spoil any of it. If you haven’t read Bait and Sail I suggest you go one click it at once. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Anchor picks up right where Sail left off. We get to see how Blake and Casey deal with what happened at the end of Sail and where their lives take them after that. There isn’t any angst in this book and I was ok with that. It was nice to have a little breather after the hell that Mabie put us through in book 1 and 2. There were 2 chapters in this book that made me say huh. I know what the author was doing by setting up the spin off books. I felt it wasn’t needed but I saw where she was coming from.

M. Mabie has a way with words that draw you in. They grab ahold of your heart, squeeze a little searing a permanent place there for her books and characters. She did things in this book that I haven’t seen yet and I absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Mabie because I know I will be one clicking it as soon as it’s out.

M. Mabie lives in Illinois with her husband. She writes unconventional love stories and tries to embody "real-life romance."

She cares about politics, but will not discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne's World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. She has always been a writer. In fact, she was born with a pen in her hand, which almost never happens. Almost.

M. Mabie usually doesn't speak in third-person. She promises.

Blog Tour: Until Jax by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Displaying until jax book tour.jpg

Displaying until jax.jpg

Ellie Anthony isn’t looking for love. She isn’t even looking for a man, but when Jax Mayson insists on keeping her and her daughter safe, she’s left with no choice but to trust him. Now she just hopes she doesn’t get hurt when she falls hard for a guy who’s known for breaking hearts.

Jax Mayson knows that Ellie is his BOOM the moment he sees her. When he finds out she has a daughter, he realizes he wants a family, and he will do whatever is necessary to keep both of his girls safe, even if that means facing the demons from his past.

O.M.G! Does Aurora Rose Reynolds write anything but stellar books? I really don't think so! Every book I've read by her is AWESOME! She really writes about alphas like no other! I sound like a broken record when it comes my reviews for Aurora Rose Reynolds, but honestly, how many ways can you say her writing and stories are awesome!? Until Jax falls in line with the awesomeness. I mean, really, this author creates THE BEST alphas ever!

We met Ellie in Until July. She was being held captive when July was kidnapped and they escaped together. As soon as Jax Mayson (SWOON for the Mayson men!) sees Ellie, he feels The Boom. If you've read any of the books with these hot guys you know all about The Boom. He goes all protective and alpha for her and I loved every second of it! Ellie, of course, is confused, disorientated, and really just not quite sure what to do with Jax and how to relate to him.

Ellie doesn't just have herself to worry about, though. She has a daughter, Hope. Jax takes her in immediately, and it isn't long until he is in love with the little girl himself. She is just so dang cute! Even though Ellie starts off disorientated in her new situation with Jax, she quickly finds her footing. She is used to being on her own and being the sole caregiver for Hope. In other words, she is fiercely independent and strong. She is a perfect match for Jax.

The only issue I had with this story is that, for me, there were a couple of flow issues. One thing would be going on, but then in the very next paragraph something totally different is happening. This only happened maybe two or three times, but each time it did, it gave me pause and I had to mentally get on board with what was happening. Despite that. This is a really, really, really great read and I can't wait for the next book from this author.

Displaying until jax teaser 4.jpg

“Thank you again for taking me.” Pulling my eyes from the road for a brief moment, I look at Ellie. Her head is resting against the window, her legs pulled up onto the seat, tucked near her ass, and her arms are wrapped tight around them. One thing I’ve noticed about her over the last few hours is she’s always wrapping her arms around herself or tucking her body into a tight ball. It’s like she’s forcing herself to stay together.

“I told you I got you, baby,” I say gently, wanting more than anything to take her hand in mine, but every time I touch her, she freezes up like she’s waiting for me to strike out at her, and I would be lying if I said that didn’t piss me the fuck off. It does; it feels like a slap in the face every time it happens.

“I know,” she whispers, and the tears I hear in her voice cause a sharp pain in my chest.

Fuck.

“This is the turnoff.” Her feet go to the floorboard and her hands to the dash as she sits up taller, moving her face closer to the windshield. We drive up a long dirt driveway with forest and the occasional broken down car on each side. When we make it to the top of the hill, a singlewide trailer comes into view, with junk cars and garbage piled up out front.

As soon as I come to a stop, she opens her door and hops out before I can tell her to keep her little ass in the cab. I don’t even know how I’m going to deal with the range of emotions that have settled over me since seeing her for the first time.

“Fucking Boom,” I mutter, getting out behind her and doubling my steps until I’m able to reach her side, where I wrap my hand around her waist and pull her closer to me. She’s so fucking tiny that the top of her dark head sits right at my chest. So fragile, from her too soft skin to her petite size. And she’s mine.

Trihn sighed and sank back into her seat just as the first ballerina floated on stage. As she reveled in the performance, Preston ran his hand up her arm and to her shoulder, sending shivers down her spine. She glanced over and him and he had this dirty smirk on his face. He wasn’t even watching the ballet. His eyes were solely trained on her. She swallowed and stared back at the ballet in front of her, but her attention was torn. His fingers brushed her long tresses off her neck. The palm of his hand pushed flat against her skin and up into hair. He pulled it gently, and as her head dipped backward, her eyes closed of their own accord. With his other hand, he laced their fingers together, bringing her hand to his lips. He tenderly kissed each knuckle before drawing her thumb gently between his teeth. She inhaled deeply. He seemed to be enjoying himself as he kneaded the muscles in her neck. He leaned forward toward her and planted a soft kiss on the sensitive skin. “Keep your eyes open. You don’t want to miss a second of this,” he breathed softly. Dear God! He was teasing her. This was sweet blissful torture. She could hardly concentrate. Keeping up with two things at once, when one was tempting her with everything she wanted, was harder than it seemed. She was glad that as the ballet drew to a close that she had seen it before or else she would have been entirely lost to what was happening much of the performance. His touch was captivating, and she found she was a lost cause when it came to this man. She hadn’t just forgotten the ballet that was in front of her face; the world had disappeared all around her. In a sea of people, there was just him. The curtain dropped unexpectedly, bright lights flooded the auditorium, and Trihn jolted upright. Preston sat up straight as if he hadn’t just been working her into a frenzy with the lightest touches imaginable. The smirk on his face was the only indication that anything was amiss. As the curtain was raised and the dancers began to take their bows, Trihn rose on shaky legs to give the ballet that she couldn’t remember a standing ovation. Preston stood by her side, applauding. They clapped until everyone left the stage and people started filing out. She exited into the aisle, and Preston grabbed her hand again. “Hey, we’re not done,” he said. The words were suggestive and were accented by his hand squeezing around her waist. “Oh?” she managed to get out. “Come on. I think you’ll like this surprise better.” “Why is that?” she asked. “Because I like to finish the things that I start.”

The event will last a week but Mouth will be doing other things during the month to raise for the cause such as this wonderful collection “Mouth, A steamy anthology” which will feature almost twenty amazing authors together in a box set of novellas. The proceeds will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Carter Ashby - Carter Ashby is a hardworking housewife and homeschool mother by day, and a romance reader and writer by night. She lives in rural Missouri with her husband, three children, and two dogs.
Josie Bordeaux - Josie Bordeaux is the author of the Alluring Promises series. Her romance novels revolve around friendships, sizzling attraction and steamy sex scenes. Lust, passion and love are all entwined with a lot of drama and fun-filled friendships. Josie lives in the sunshine state with her best friend (AKA - husband) and two sweet, and very creative daughters.
When she's not driving her kids around town, she's usually clicking her fingernails on her keyboard or down at the beach where her eyes are glued to her kindle app reading.
M.C. Cerny - M.C. Cerny first fell in love with books after experiencing her first real ugly cry reading, Where The Red Fern Grows. Her debut romantic suspense novel, Flashpoint was written in a series of post-it-note ramblings that would likely make her idol Tom Clancy blush. She is a post graduate of NYU, working fulltime, and calls rural NJ home with her menagerie of human and feline fur-babies. When M.C. is not writing, you'll find her lurking in Starbucks, running marathons, singing Disney show tunes, and searching out the perfect shade of pink nail polish.
Christy Dilg - Christy Dilg is a erotica romance author and also a full-time medical biller/assistant. When she's not writing she spends her time with her husband and teenage daughter. She is also known as Radiation Girl after beating thyroid cancer and finally living life the correct way and embracing her glow.
S.M. Donaldson - S.M. Donaldson is a born and raised Southern girl. She grew up in a small rural town on Florida's Gulf Coast, the kind of place where everyone knows your business before you do, especially when your Daddy is a cop and your Mom works for the school system. She married one of her best friends at the age of 20 and has one son. She is a proud military wife, has always had a soft spot for a good story, and is known to have a potty mouth. At the age of 31, she decided there was no time like the present to attempt her first book. Sam's Choice was born and she hasn't stopped since. If you are looking for a good, steamy, Southern set romance with true Southern dialect, she's your girl.
L.B. Dunbar - I'd love to say I've written for 10,000 hours, and that makes me a pro. But I can't say that. What I can say is I had a story in my head that wouldn't go away. I thought typing it in my computer would be the end of things, but it only led to another story and another. I love reading, so characters in my head isn't something new. What is new is my creation of them. Hope you enjoy my favorites as much as I do. Happy reading!
Roxie Elms - I'm a wild girl. I write about that. Sexy, steamy reads to enjoy at your leisure. I'm a world traveler from the UK and I've been everywhere. My mother was a Personal Assistant to a big star and it was an awesome life traveling with her. My stories will thrill, leave chills, intoxicate and bring you to pleasure.
Mary Catherine Gebhard - Mary Catherine Gebhard bites off more than she can chew and sometimes calls herself Eva Natsumi. She's lived in Salt Lake City, Utah her entire life, but occasionally goes on vacation from reality. Don't worry, she sends postcards.
Cassie Graham - Cassie Graham is first and foremost, a wife and mother. She has one crazy daughter and a just as nutters husband that she loves dearly. She lives in sunny--all be it, scorching Arizona, where the summers are ridiculously hot and the winters are perfection. She'd pick winter any day. Obviously. ;)
Cassie has always loved to write and is so thankful that she's able to do it full-time. She's very lucky to have a husband who works his booty off working so she can live out her dream.
Danielle Jamie - Danielle Jamie is a contemporary romance author who loves getting lost in a good book or writing a memorable love story. Her most popular works are her Bestselling Savannah Series, her heart wrenching standalone Tempt my Heart and her steamy new taboo novellas in her Stepbrother Series!
She lives in Upstate NY with her husband, two daughters and son. She loves traveling and seeing the world all the while meeting her fans along the way at Author Events.
Lorraine Loveit - Even though Ms Loveit has a very busy life (wife, mother and secretary) she still manages to devote time to her passion for writing, and of course, reading.
Ms Loveit's current story came to her in a dream and it just grew from there. It is an erotic relationship theme with bdsm elements. She started writing it just to "get it out of my head." Lorraine has many more stories "in her head" just waiting for her to finish her current series. She also intends writing more short erotic stories.
She lives in the south west of Western Australia. When on holidays enjoys camping with her family and two dogs; always making sure she has plenty of reading material and, since she started writing, her laptop is the first thing packed.
Kristen Hope Mazzola - I am just an average twenty-something following my dreams. I have a full time "day job" and by night I am an author. I guess you could say that writing is like my super power (I always wanted one of those). I am the lover of wine, sushi, football and the ocean; that is when I am not wrapped up in the literary world.
Please feel free to contact me to chat about my writing, books you think I'd like or just to shoot the, well you know.
A portion of all my royalties are donated to The Marcie Mazzola Foundation.
Scarlett Metal - Scarlett lives in the Midwest with her family. When she's not busy writing steamy stories, she can be found reading, camping, or looking for an adventure. She loves Diet Coke, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and 80's hair bands.
Katherine Rhodes - Author of erotica, light BDSM erotica and paranormal erotica. Expert in the profundities of bad movies and awful literature. Armed with her Bachelors of English, Literature she has set her mind to writing erotic romances which are kinky, dirty, and fun. A lackadaisical laundry goddess, Katherine resides in Philadelphia with her husband, three cats and a betta named Fishtian Grey.
t. h. snyder - I was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania Sept 1979. For nine years I worked in the field of higher education while earning my Bachelor and Master Degrees in Management from University of Phoenix. I'm a single mother to two amazing children that are my world. I became an avid reader in spring of 2012 and since has read over 300 books. My genre of interest ranges from Romance to thrilling Paranormal.
This is more than just a hobby for me, it's a passion to read the words of great authors and bring life to their stories with my reviews and character castings.
I started writing my first novel in June of 2013 and anxious to see where this journey takes me!
Kandi Steiner - Kandi Steiner is a Creative Writing and Advertising/Public Relations graduate from the University of Central Florida living in Tampa with her husband. Kandi works full time as a social media specialist, but also works part time as a Zumba fitness instructor and blackjack dealer.
Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her "freedom of press." She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).
When Kandi isn't working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine - not necessarily in that order.
Layla Stevens - I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1996. I have a huge family who I shocked them when I told them I was writing my first book. I have had a love a reading since I was young. Reading has always been my escape. I can read and be a princess or a warrior. Reading for me was always something magical. And I hope to pass that on to you all.
I am blessed to be the mom of a little girl named Sage who is the light of my life. {I call her Olga, and she hates it} I did not give birth to her but I choose her.
Madison Street - Madison Street was born in New York City and was raised in the Bronx, where she resided until she was 17 years old. After 9/11, Madison joined the United States Navy to serve her country.
During the deployments, Madison constantly wrote short stories and she discovered her passion for writing. You will find Madison always on the computer, whether she's on Facebook, designing websites, messing with Photoshop, or writing for her blog.
Besides writing, her second passion is music and dance. Even though she's a terrible singer, she'll still belt it out in the shower, especially if the song is her jam! She currently resides in Virginia with her husband of 8 years, 2 children, a dog, and a cat. She is so excited to start this amazing journey and is honored to be part of such a compassionate and loving community.
E.A. Sutton – Facebook | Goodreads
Dawne Walters - I started writing in journals when I was seven or eight when I lived in Europe. Little short stories that were inspired by the many castles and historic places that evoke the imagination. I also kept a journal while deployed to 'escape'. I would write short stories about military romance. So, some of those will become full length novels...some with a happy and not so happy ending! Be prepared.
I never started out to be an author. I always wanted to be a nurse practitioner. I'll get there maybe, one day...
My hobbies are photography (yes, I have done weddings, a few CD covers , lots of family and couples sittings). My favorite band is Thirty Seconds to Mars...Give them a listen!
