Release Date: June 28, 2018

A deliciously steamy enemies with benefits romance.

Declan McAvoy. Voted Biggest Flirt. Highest goal scorer in Kings of Rittenhouse Prep history.
Everyone’s impressed, well except one person…

After a blow out in high school, Makenna Halstead and I were happy to never have to cross paths again. Except life has a way of knocking you straight in the teeth with a puck when you least expect it. She hasn’t just returned to my life, she crashed into it like a wrecking ball...into my college kingdom, into my class, and smack dab into the seat next to mine. My new lab partner to be exact.

For years we hated each other... I may be King on the ice, but she is the Ice Queen. She has no problem calling me out, doesn’t back down, and her piercing blue eyes have me picturing more than than just my arms wrapped around her.

Now we’re stuck with each other and there’s no getting around that fact that we have to work together. My hockey career hangs in the balance. Problem? Oh, yeah.

I can’t deny it. I want her. More than I ever thought I could want a woman. I’ve got one semester–only four months–to convince her everything she thought about me was wrong.

Will my queen let me prove to her I’m the King she can’t live without?

Only one way to find out…

I love a good sports romance. I also love an enemies to lovers story. Put these together and you've got me hooked. Shameless King is my first book from Maya Hughes and I really liked it. If you haven't read the prequel, Kings of Rittenhouse, I recommend it. It really gives you an understanding of the dynamic of the main characters in this budding series.

Declan and Makenna know how to push each other's buttons. They went to high school together and they did NOT get along. Makenna (Mak) is focused. She has a life plan and she is not willing to let anyone or anything get in the way of those plans. Declan is a hockey star. He seems to have life so easy, people falling at his feet, and everything just seems to work out for him. To Mak, he doesn't take anything seriously and he just floats through life. To Declan, she is way too serious and an ice queen. Of course, under all their annoyance and anger, the two are (unwillingly) attracted to each other - not that they would ever admit it out loud.

Fast forward to college...
Declan and Mak haven't seen each other in years. They are just an annoying memory. However, when Mak decides to go to school closer to her parents, their paths cross yet again. They fall back into their old pattern of dislike. They are forced to work together when they become partners in a class that they both have to pass in order to reach their dreams.

I really liked the dynamic between Mak and Declan. At first, their digs at each other were pretty entertaining. The snark that came from both of them had me laughing at times. When their relationship and attitudes began to change, their snarky banter turned playful and flirty. Add in the steamy, sexual tension, and I couldn't wait for the pair to finally give in. I really enjoyed how these two evolved throughout the story. I did find Mak to be pretty high strung, but she had good reason. This poor character - she was her own worst enemy. I absolutely loved Declan. He brought life to Makenna, and in return, she brought a balance to him that he didn't know he was missing.

This book was centered around Declan and Makenna, but there were so many more characters that I came to care about. The author not only created two strong leads, but the supporting characters really stood out in their own right. I feel invested in these other characters and I can't wait to see what the author has in store for them.

The price of survival... Gabriel Miller swept into my life like a storm. He tore down my father with cold retribution, leaving him penniless in a hospital bed. I quit my private all-girl's college to take care of the only family I have left. There's one way to save our house, one thing I have left of value. My virginity.

A forbidden auction... Gabriel appears at every turn. He seems to take pleasure in watching me fall. Other times he's the only kindness in a brutal underworld. Except he's playing a deeper game than I know. Every move brings us together, every secret rips us apart. And when the final piece is played, only one of us can be left standing.

THE PAWN is a full-length contemporary novel from New York Times bestselling author Skye Warren about revenge and seduction in the game of love. It's the first book in the brand new ENDGAME series.

The Pawn by Skye Warren is everything that I've come to expect from this author. It's a dark tale with great characters and I loved every second of this story.

Avery's life takes a abrupt 180 when she father's mistakes come to fruition. Having to drop out of college and almost out of money to pay bills and her father's mounting healthcare needs, she becomes desperate. So desperate that she goes to a loan shark for help. What she doesn't expect is for Gabriel Miller, the man responsible for her father's downfall to be in attendance when she arrives. With nothing of value to put up for collateral, the men decide to auction her virginity.

Gabriel has no intention of letting anyone else touch her and he wins her in the auction. For one month, she is his. She moves into his home and is to be available to him whenever he wants. I loved the tension in this story. Avery is nervous about losing her virginity; she has no idea when Gabriel will take it. Once we get to know Gabriel, we find that he is quite complex. He has his own code of honor that he strictly follows. These two characters make for a very interesting story.

Blog Tour: Enchanting Wilder (Wild #1) by Cassie Graham

Title: Enchanting Wilder
Series: Wild #1
Author: Cassie Graham
Release Date: July 28, 2016
Declan Wilder has never met a witch he didn’t hate. He is in the business of protecting the world from all things paranormal, after all. But what happens when one glimpse at an enchanting McKenna Sawyer sends him spinning? Suddenly, Declan can’t help but question everything he thought he knew about the world he’s been sworn to protect for so long.
Plagued by her parents’ death, McKenna Sawyer has no interest in anything outside of her family’s business and her sister’s happiness. So when she’s assigned to warn a Pursuer about his impending death, she’s less than prepared for the way he shifts her world on its axis. And when more time spent with him leads to more secrets about their world revealed, they must decide how their universes fit together — if at all.
The paranormal world is gearing up for a fight, and both Declan and McKenna have been called to battle. But the question remains — will they be fighting for or against each other?

3 Stars
Enchanting Wilder by Cassie Graham is a very original paranormal romance. There is a little bit of everything in this book from witches to demons to angels to hybrids. This book contains paranormal beings galore!
McKenna is the witch that this story is mostly centered around. She is a Strix, which is a good witch that tries to help people choose the good path. She and her sister are left to run the family business and carry out their legacy, but then, things start getting weird. Declan is a Pursuer. He is mortal, but he fights all things evil. When he meets McKenna, there is a unexplainable pull towards each other. As the two start to slowly give in to the pull, secrets come out. The duo, along with their siblings and one demon in touch with his humanity, wade through the secrets to find a way to save the world.
This story was definitely one of a kind. This book was up and down for me. At times, the story felt slow, but then it would suddenly pick up and I was hit with (almost) information overload. Even with all the things thrown into the story, it was quite easy to follow. I didn't feel lost in the least. I was just hoping for a bit more action and adventure than I got.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget the relaxed smile on Declan’s lips as he felt the ocean for the first time, or the way he pulled me into his embrace when we finally decided to leave. His needy hands trembled on my leg as we drove back to town because we both knew that was it. Or even the way he looked at me with earnest when he dropped me off at home—promising it wouldn’t be the last time. I won’t forget the forced, dejected smile he had as he waved goodbye because he recognized what he had just promised was a lie. I won’t forget the taillights as he drove around the corner and out of my sight. And, I won’t forget the way my heart ached when I was all alone because I’ve never felt such a sensation before.
I’ll chase those feelings—the ones I shared with Declan. The good and the bad—I’ll pursue those forever. Because they’re some of the best ones I’ve got.

She's also the mom to a beautiful little girl. Her greatest joy is watching her grow.

Cassie has always loved to write and is so thankful that she's able to do it full-time. She's very lucky to have a husband who works non-stop so she can live out her dream. He's the reason why writing romance is so easy.

Cassie is a born and raised Arizona girl. Though she has moved around a bit, her home always calls to her. It's where her heart will remain.

If Cassie isn't writing, she's more than likely cooking in the kitchen with her daughter or has her nose buried deep in a good book. She loves front porch sitting, drinking coffee, and constantly dating her husband.

Crickets chirp in the distance and I wonder if they’ll ever hold the same mundane significance they did before. They used to be irrelevant, unimportant creatures. But now? I can’t imagine a world without them. They’re the soundtrack to a kiss that brought me back to the land of the living. Everything I’ve wanted—everything I’ve needed—is being laid out in front of me by Declan. His passion overwhelms me, and for the first time in my life, my sense of self is overflowing. I no longer feel the need to second-guess my desires.
Every kiss, every stroke of his tongue with mine brings me closer to who I’m supposed to be. It feels as if I’ve been waiting my entire life to find someone to kiss me like this. So passionately—full of want and need.
Declan takes hold of me gently, placing both hands on the side of my face. He slows his pace, and pulls away, kissing my nose.
I’m panting with fervor and smile when his green eyes look into mine.
Declan lowers his voice. “That was…”
I nod, still gasping for air. “It was.”

Blog Tour: Who I am With You by M. Lynne Cunning

Title: Who I Am With You
Author: M. Lynne Cunning
Release Date: Feb 19, 2016
People only reveal what they want you to see…
Chad Kirkwood has a secret. One he’s determined to keep buried until he’s ready to divulge it. So when he shows up on Katie’s doorstep in answer to a job posting, he stretches the truth and tells her only what she needs to know.
Katie Wicken is broken. Left to pick up the pieces of a called-off engagement and a failing farm after the death of her father, she’s determined not to let anyone else into her heart. Then she hires Chad, and Katie finds herself glancing in his direction, watching him work, and thinking about him after the sun goes down.
Something begins to awaken within Chad, too. It’s been forever since he’s felt such a genuine connection and been able to fully enjoy his life. Hell, live his life. But when Chad’s lie catches up with him, he’s forced to come clean.
And the truth could break Katie’s heart once again.
Grief and pain can make people do crazy things… but so can love.

“Don’t speak about something you don’t understand, all right? Whatever Katie has told you, that’s all it is...a piece of a much bigger pie. You don’t know me, and no matter what you think, you don’t know her either.”

Chad crossed his arms in front of his chest, not sure what to say next. From the corner of his eye, he could see Katie stomping through the tall grass towards them. The dust from Jay’s car had finally billowed into the garden where she’d been working.

“Are you warning me about her...Jay?” Chad locked eyes with him, his gaze never wavering even though Katie was getting closer with each step.

Jay slammed the car door, wearing a muted grin as he matched Chad’s pose, crossing his own arms and pulling himself up to his full height, at least three inches taller than Chad’s five feet and eleven inches. “She used to be different, that’s all. Calm yourself, will you? I’m just telling you, you don’t know the real Katie. To be honest, you probably never will. The real Katie we all knew and loved died along with her father. My Katie is gone, so like I said, don’t talk about things you only think you understand.”

Thankfully, Chad didn’t have to form a response, not that he knew what he would say to that, anyway. Katie’s feet hit the gravel just as Chad had opened his mouth to speak; however, the look on her face evoked enough uncertainty in him that he swiftly closed it again.

“You said you were picking Mason up at five thirty. It’s only a few minutes past five.” Katie consulted her watch as though to confirm it, lifting her head to glare at Jay again.

“I’m a few minutes early. I wanted to see how everything was going.”

“Everything is just fine, Jay. You can come back in twenty seven minutes.” Katie didn’t look at Chad as she brushed past the two men and headed for the house, where Chad knew Mason was currently packing up his clothes and Nintendo DS to take with him.

“Katie, wait...” Jay’s pleas went unanswered, the screen door banging closed abruptly behind her. Only a defeated sigh sounded in the thick silence between them, and Chad uneasily turned away from the other man, intent on cleaning up his mess near the barn wall and getting the hell out of dodge before this situation got any more heated. Jay, on the other hand, didn’t have the same intentions.

“See? What’d I tell you? She’s impossible.”

“No. She’s hurt. There’s a difference.” Chad didn’t look at him. Instead, he plucked the hammer and tin can full of nails from the ground and pretended to admire his handiwork on the barn wall.

“You seem to know a lot about my girlfriend and her—“

“Ex.”

“What?”

“She’s your ex-girlfriend.”

Jay stared at him, seeming to mull over how to react. Chad couldn’t be sure whether it was humiliation or anger that clouded the man’s clean shaven face, maybe a bit of both. Either way, Chad didn’t fear him, and he stared back, unblinking.

“Good to meet you, Chad.” Jay’s tone was condescending and gruff.

“See you in twenty four minutes,” Chad replied, and the hint of a smirk crossed his face the moment he broke eye contact and turned away.

M. Lynne Cunning has always wanted to be an author, but it wasn’t until she discovered National Novel Writing Month and all the insanity that goes along with it that she began to truly realize her love for writing stories. While she doesn’t limit herself to writing only specific genres, her first two published novels, Until I'm Found and Blurred Lines, are considered Romantic Suspense. Her new book, Who I Am With You (to be released February 2016), will be the first in a contemporary romance series. She also doesn’t believe that the traditional typical “happily ever after” is always the way to go. You’ve been forewarned.

She is almost always reading or writing, but also enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband/best friend, Dennis, and is the proud dog-mom of two brindle boxers. She’s also a too-far-gone coffee addict and a lifelong country music fan.
