After a year of partying, Sam decides to buckle down and focus on college. Things are going great until a one-night stand leaves her pregnant and alone. Raising a child while going to school isn’t easy, but Sam is determined to be strong for her daughter. She doesn’t have time for guys or relationships, and takes great care to protect her child and her heart.
Judd doesn’t fit the mold of a college ballplayer. His long hair and tattoos may fit the life he’s created for himself, but baseball is the one thing he takes seriously. When he meets Sam, he’s immediately drawn to her curves and refusal to put up with his crap. When Judd learns the truth, can he handle the responsibility that comes with loving a single mother?
Sam yearns for the fire that Judd fuels in her, but her child’s needs have to come first. Can two people at different stages in their life find a way to make a life together?

I loved this book, it gave me warm fuzzies while I read it! It’s a quick read I think I had it finished in about three hours total.
Samantha aka Sam I loved right off the bat. Not your average book girl who is normally 5ft 3 – 5ft 5. Sam is 5ft 9 and a size 12. Ahh finally a tall girl, I can relate!! Anyway, Sam’s a regular college student who’s freshman year she spent partying and not much else. Sophomore year she decides to buckle down and get serious about school. However, during a frat party one night she’s thinks, what the heck I’ve been, so good…then six weeks later she gets some unexpected news. Pregnant…and the baby daddy wants nothing to do with the child. So welcome to single mommy hood!
Judd is a tattooed, motorcycle riding, girl lover, baseball hottie. My only issue with Judd is the long hair; I am not a longhaired lover. Judd had a pretty good childhood until his Mom was killed in a car crash when he was ten years old. After that his Father turned to alcohol to numb the pain. Judd kept moving along helping his Dad, going to school and playing baseball. Best part….one day his coach decided he wanted his players clean cut so Judd had to cut his hair… Swooning 100% now over Judd!
Sam heads to a local bar with her friend James (James is a girl). James is someone who I would love to know more about! Turns out James and Judd have known each other for a long time. Judd is immediately interested in Sam and next thing you know Sam and Judd are headed out on a date.
Where does the story go from here? Does Sam introduce Judd to her daughter? Does he freak out and leave her? What about the baby daddy…where does he come into play? You’ll have to read it to find out!
Again it’s a quick read and I totally loved it! There is a scene with Sam and her daughter Karrie in the grocery store…oh man I just smiled the whole time because that scene happened to me in real life with my son, ahhh the memories! Pick up this book today, you will not be disappointed!
