Play by Holly Roberts

Mean Girls Luv Play
Dirty Double

When Killian MacGregor, the hottest quarterback in the NFL, eyes the perfect pair of female legs, he spends an hour tracking the gorgeous woman in a room filled with rowdy teammates until one gets out of line.

Rebecca Cavanaugh, a long distance runner for the state team, intimidates boys and men with her quick wit and majestic height. The pre-season jock party isn’t her scene, but she’s roped into attending to provide her sister a sober ride home.

Hiding in the kitchen to avoid the athletic sex fest, a drunken thug forces Rebecca to her knees, and waves a giant ding-dong in her face. Before Rebecca can extricate herself from the hairy situation, an unknown champion saves the night. When Killian assists Rebecca off the floor, she’s stunned into silence while staring at the sexiest man alive.

Will Killian’s bad boy rep and Rebecca’s need for commitment, make this the most impossible “Play” of the season? Or, will Killian’s haunting past and need for victory destroy the most important game of his life?

“Play” is intended for readers 18+. Enjoy with caution… this book contains adult situations, erotic sex, and more balls than a girl knows what to do with.

I dissolved into the seat of his amazing car. A low moan escaped my lips but Killian just showed his dimples and buckled me in. I wondered what he’d do if I pulled him tightly against me and sniffed… for an hour or two.

He opened his door and folded into the seat with absolute grace regardless of his size.

“Ah hell,” he muttered and turned my way. Unlatching my seatbelt, he pulled me in for the most mouthwatering kiss I’d ever had. His lips, soft but firm, molded to mine. His tongue ran over my teeth, tasted, dipped deeper, and then plunged. He effortlessly slid out the elastic holding my hair before spreading his fingers to either side of my scalp. The kiss intensified and Killian made promises for the night ahead with his lips.

He tasted so damn good.

When he pulled back, I actually whimpered and smiled at the low rumbling growl that came from Killian’s throat. He took my lower lip between his teeth and pulled slightly before letting go. He put distance between us leaving me bereft.

“We’ll eat at my house.” He kissed my forehead, reached over, grabbed the seatbelt, and fastened me in again. My hands went to my hair as I looked around for the hair tie.

“Leave it.”

I stopped my search but couldn’t help running my fingers through the mussed tangles. Killian’s hand captured mine. “No.” He released my fingers just as fast as he verbalized the one word.

I wasn’t a pushover, didn’t have much experience with guys, but I had some. I should have argued, straightened my hair anyway, or even voiced some sort of displeasure. An electrically charged pulse shot straight to the junction of my thighs, and there I went and tried to stain his car’s upholstery.

I kept my mouth shut.

I love love loved this book!! It was all around a great read! It had everything I love in a book; it was sweet, funny, a little heartbreak, and really HOT! Play sucked me in from the very first chapter and I couldn't put it down until I finished it.

"He thought I was angry about him checking out my practically non-existent chest. My life couldn't get worse- dick in face, Medusa hair, mono-syllable communications, bloody tounge, and I'd just banged the Scorpions' star football player in the nose."

We first meet Rebecca at a football party that her sister dragged her to. The party crowd was not her scene but she went anyway. We find her in a predicament (once you read the book, you will see what I did there) that is quite uncomfortable. Becca is helped out of the situation by none other than Killian MacGregor, star quarterback for the Phoenix Scorpions.

Rebecca Cavanaugh is a long distance runner for the state college. She isn't your normal character in the aspect of over the top beauty and enormous breasts. She is your average girl with long brown hair and even longer legs. I loved this about her, it made her very relate-able. I connected with her instantly and understood everything she was going through and felt it right along with her.

Killian MacGregor is oh so delicious. He is sexy as sin, built like a machine, and has just the right amount of alpha-male in him to make you swoon. He is very demanding but at the same time you can't help but want to just do every single thing he demands. He exudes confidence but not in the egotistical way. Killian is full on panty melting material.  He keeps a running of list of things Rebecca, or legs as he affectionately calls her, likes or insisted on and I loved how he always remembered every detail.

"He grasped my hand. The small tilt to his lips went into a full-blown grin and...fuck, I kid you     not...dimples.
Channing who?
This guy was the sexiest man alive."

Killian is not without a secret and I NEVER saw what happened coming. I loved that I wasn't expecting it and then all of a sudden it slapped me across the face and I had a "holy crap" moment. This secret made me love Killian even more.

There are MANY sexy, steamy, HOT scenes in this book but the one that I will remember for a long time to come was the rain scene. It has cemented its spot in my list of top rain scenes.

Play was quick stand-alone read, but I am not quickly getting over this book. It has stuck with me and Killian has made my list of book boyfriends. I laughed, I swooned, and I most definitely got hot and bothered.  Holly Roberts did a fantastic job with this novel and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. This is a MUST read and needs to be moved to the top of the TBR list.

I LOVE anything to do with Football players, and this book did not disappoint!
Star quarterback Killian MacGregor, what can I say about him? I think this will cover it:

“In street clothes, he was a wet dream, but in pads, the number twenty jersey, and skin-tight football pants… totally cream dream worthy”

Yup, that’s it all wrapped up in one sentence. The object of Killian’s eye is Rebecca Cavanaugh who is a long distance runner for her college. What I love about Rebecca is I can relate to her with being tall. Everything about it…. clothes not fitting, being taller than most guys, it does effect your confidence so that was very believable.

These two meet at a party Rebecca’s sister drags her to. Lets just say Killian saved her from one of his teammates. It took some time for the two to finally come together and when they did the fireworks began! The supporting characters were just as fun. You always need the awesome best friends… for Rebecca that is Amanda and Lyle and I loved every second with them. For Killian we got teammate Max & Malory, I absolutely loved Malory!

This story was a very fun read. I laughed, fanned my self and then I got the little bit heartbreak I always want. I loved that it was a quick read and kept me entertained the whole time. It will also now be added to my top rain scenes.
