WHAT AN AMAZING BOOK! Lisa really nailed this one out of the park. I fell in love with the residents in Charistown years ago during Thursday Nights. Throughout the series, we see the loving married couple Danny and Julie. They are the bar owners so dish out great advice to their employees but we never heard their journey. Well this book is it and it has all the feels. The emotions this book brought out in me shocked me.

Danny walked into a bar where Julie worked as a young man. Immediately taken with her spunk and beauty he had to have her. And had her he did. Danny is by far the yummiest dominating man in Charistown. The way he loved Julie was inspiring and had me swooning on more than one occasion.

But Danny and Julie’s life wasn’t all hot sex (but they had it that’s for sure) and roses. It was full of trials and heart break after heart break. Julie was an amazingly strong character. She may have lost her way a time or two but she knew she was a rock to Danny’s foundation and with the help of loved ones she did.

Lisa N Paul really gave us a story that could have been anyone of our real life stories. The realness of their love story flew off the pages and straight into my heart! I also loved seeing how they met their employees turned family as each other came into their lives. So beautiful.

If you haven’t read this series, you need to binge read ASAP! It is one that should not be missed.

The blurb for this book grabbed me right after I fell in love with the cover! Can you say YUM! Even though this book can be read as a standalone, I chose to read book one Resolution Lane first. I would say reading the Lane Wrigley’s book does enhance your enjoyment of Absolution Road which is about Jake Wrigley.

I will say that after reading Resolution Lane, I was very nervous about this book. In book 1, Jake is not a great character. I wanted to hit him a few times and I was scared I wouldn’t like him in Absolution Road. But I was WRONG!!! I really liked Jake. I felt that he had grown up some and was incredibly likable. For someone who needed to be saved by his brother, he was fiercely protective and it was so sexy.

Alyson is a great heroine. She was tough and grew up very poor. But she became a lawyer and a damn good one too. When she gets together with Jake the couple couldn’t have been more opposite. But Aly triggered something in Jake to be better and take care of her no matter how much she didn’t want him too.

One thing this book had that RL didn’t have was a bit of a mystery to it. I will say that I figured it before the characters did but I enjoy the twist. The twists kept coming toward the end and I really loved where the author went with the story. I also really liked her writing and will be definitely looking for more great books from Rachel Baufeld.

Leaning my chair back on its two rear legs, I couldn’t help but laugh again before trying to contain myself. This chick and her soft demeanor were all business. Of course, she would be. Who else would work on Christmas Eve? I was pretty certain she could have made me wait until the day after Christmas to post bond, but here she was defending the public on the most holy night of the year.

Add a big heart to the brain, tits, and long legs I’d already noted in her plus column. Maybe I didn’t want to bang her, but rather cherish this sweet thing? The reality of that seemed slim, seeing as the smart, good girls didn’t go for me. Nor did I expect them to. I was the bad boy, and I had the guilty conscience to back that notion right the fuck up.

“Of course, Ms. Road. It’s Jake, by the way. Just J-A-K-E. Full name is J-A-S-O-N, but I haven’t been called that in twenty years.” I mocked her spelling with my very own rendition, teasing the schoolgirl, looking for a reaction like I was in the third grade. “So, let’s get down to brass tacks and get my ass outta here so you can head home to your . . . husband? Boyfriend? He must be waiting for a gem like you to come home to start the holiday, right?”

No harm in trying.

As I spoke, she narrowed her eyes and glared daggers at me. “Are you done with probing into my personal life, interrogating me? I’m pretty sure I’m not the one in jail.”

Obviously annoyed, she followed that volley with another few leg switches. Left over right, right over left. I wanted to grab her knees and spread her limbs and dive in, let my tongue dig deep into her folds, make her let go of all that stuck-up bullshit she had going on while screaming my name. She probably tasted like sweet honey.

Geneva Lee’s Royal Saga series is pure gold! I love love this series and I just can’t get enough. After being left off with wanting more from Crave Me, I craved book 2!

Smith is still as hot as sin. Belle is still his equal and fiercely strong and goes after what she wants. Smith needed to make some changes but in doing so has to push Belle away. I will say the way he went about doing this made me want to punch him in the nuts but since I knew it was for her protection.

I don’t want to spoil this book for anyone so I won’t go any further about what happens. But I will just say that the writing was great. The story progressed so smoothly and had a way of surprising me with a twist or two which I loved. As for the sex scenes, they were off the charts hot! What I love is that Geneva is on book 5 of this series and her sex scenes are still fresh and smokin’!

I’m complete addicted to this series and can’t get enough. I want it to be a TV series so I can watch every week and binge on it between seasons!

This book was a hilarious story that brought a couple from enemies to lovers. I think RS Grey writes one of the best banter between characters out there. I find myself so engulfed in her books that I ignore the rest of my life and live in the world she creates!

Dean Harper thinks he is God’s gift to restaurants and women. And he totally is but Lily Black can’t stop herself from trying to prove that fact is false. Lily is full of spark and fire and was a breath of fresh air for heroines. I love when the woman is so strong and opinionated. They instantly hate each other but over time as they work together they realize the other is exactly what they want. They don’t have a lovey dovey relationship. Complete opposite.

I loved the restaurant aspect of this book since I was in the restaurant business for many years. The author did an amazing job with accuracy on how it all worked. It made me miss those days a little.

The Allure of Dean Harper is prime humor and great writing. This is a book you can cuddle up with and let the laughs and characters take you away. I love RS’s writing and loved this book. If I had one complaint, it would that I wish it was longer so I can bask the story for longer.

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things...everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors are Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things funny. Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
