One Northern Morning by Marissa Carmel

Kamdyn Ellis is still the man.

Alabama’s golden boy has everything he’s ever wanted. He’s smashed the school record for most passing yards, touchdown passes and completed passes during his college career. He is the winner of
the Maxwell Award as the nation’s best all-around player, and is slated to enter the NFL draft. But even with all his success, he was unable to hold onto the one thing that was most important to him - Laney Summers. Laney and Kam have long since gone on their separate ways, but one Friday morning sports broadcasting class and an unforeseen threat to Kam’s brightly shining future has these two back on a very familiar path. A path full of love and lust and unresolved feelings.  A path where life-altering
decisions have to be made, and questions need to be answered - like what’s more important your heart or your career?

Kamdyn Ellis is the man.

Mr. All-Star athlete and resident bad boy. #7 quarterback on the field, and #1 player off. Every guy at school wants to be him, and every girl at school wants to date him. Well, except Laney Summers that is. The sassy city girl is the only one immune to Kam’s clear blue eyes and arsenal of southern charm. But when a debilitating injury sidelines Kam’s future and ability to play football, it’s Laney who is tasked to be his tutor while he recuperates at home.

The chemistry between Kam and Laney is undeniable, and after months of ignoring what’s clearly evident, Laney gives in. Allowing herself one night with Kam, no strings attached, no commitment to speak of. Alone, under the stars, on the fifty-yard line, Kam and Laney set out to discover if what they have is real, or just one steamy southern night.

Marissa Carmel has loved writing ever since a young age. She has a duel degree in History and Political Science, but took as many creative writing classes in college as she could. She spent most of her twenties bartending, which is where she met her husband and a multitude of interesting people. When she's not reading or writing, she's hanging out with her family, experimenting in her kitchen or doing yoga on the living room floor.

Subject: Justin Timberlake Nudes!

Lily, you predictable perv. I knew you’d open this email faster if I tempted you with a glimpse of JT's “PP”. Well, put your pants back on and grab some bubbly because I have much better news to share.

As of tomorrow, I’ll be the new executive assistant at Lorena Lefray Designs. I am SO excited, but there’s one itty bitty problem: I won’t be Lorena’s assistant. I’ll be working for her older brother, Julian.

I know what you're thinking- "But Jo, what’s the problem?"

Google him. Now. He’s the man in the fitted navy suit whose face reminds you that there’s hope yet for this cruel, ugly world. Keep scrolling…Do you see those dimples? Yup. That’s the Julian Lefray I will be reporting to tomorrow morning.

Lord, help us all...

Over the last few months I have fallen in love with RS Grey’s books. They are so fun, sexy and easy to read that it is pure joy to dive into one of her stories. And The Allure of Julian LeFray is a definite hit.

We follow Josephine a fashion blogger from Texas in New York City. She is broke and in need of a job. She thinks she will be working for the fashion designer but instead PAs for her smokin’ hot brother.  Jo is a great heroine. I loved her personality and quick wit. Julian is awesome. He is rich, sexy and smart. He recognizes that Jo is special from the start.

Jo and Julian’s relationship was great. The banter was priceless and so fun to read. The side characters in this book were perfect too. They brought something of value to the story and I hope they get a book too.

RS Grey’s writing again was flawless and she is now an automatic read for me. This is a perfect summer beach read and I highly recommend The Allure of Julian LeFray.

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.

The loud bang on the garage doors scared the shit out of, making me jump out of my skin. “Shit,” I yelled after hitting my head on the bumper. Despite calling out, “One second,” the banging continued. More than a little dizzy, my anger mounted as I walked toward the door. “Chill the fuck out,” I muttered as I wiped my hands on a work rag. The row of windows stretching through the mid-line of the door was tinted so that only someone on the inside could see out. They were designed that way so anyone peering into the shop wouldn’t be able to see what kind of cars were parked inside—a security tip I offered to Paulie after I’d started working here.
The man standing on the other side must not have heard me because he continued his relentless banging. At this rate, I’d be surprised if his knuckles weren’t all bloody and cut up.
Knowing he couldn’t see me did nothing to stop me from staying to the side. My initial intention was simply to check out who the hell was trying to break down my door. The last thing I needed was some psychopath ruining my night, but as I peered out the window, the last thought running through my mind was that he was a psycho.
Dressed in a modern grey suit, he was the epitome of class. The baby blue shirt underneath made his eyes pop, of course the anger simmering there amplified them as well. Pinching the bridge of his nose, he looked like he was trying to ward off some massive headache. Either he really was a psychopath, playing his part of the deception perfectly, or he was in a bind and genuinely in need of help. Watching him run his fingers through his thick dark brown hair, he let out a deep huff of breath. The door muffled his words, but I swear I heard him say, “Just my fucking luck.”
Having uttered that phrase more than a few times in my own life, I decided I’d let him in and see what he needed. The fact that my dick was twitching in my pants at the mere sight of him didn’t hurt his case much either.
He stood at attention as he listened to me unclicking the locks. The doors rolled open revealing his long, lean frame. This guy was money. It was written all over him, from his shirt to his shoes, from his shiny cufflinks to the BMW key dangling from his finger.
“Can I help you?” My voice was gruff, and I hoped he thought it was from his less than polite request to be seen, rather than the reaction I was having to him.
He eyed me, scanning my body from head to toe. Annoyance was written all over his face and my attraction quickly morphed into annoyance. “Excuse me,” I prompted when he still hadn’t spoken a single word. “You knocked on my door. Is there something I can help you with?”
“Uh, yeah,” he answered, running his hands through his hair once again. “Hit a pothole down the road,” he explained somewhat distractedly. He pointed in the direction in which I assumed his damaged car sat.
“Let me grab the keys to the tow truck.” Walking away from him, I felt his stare on my back.
By the time I walked back out of the office, he was gone. “What the hell?” I mumbled to myself, wondering where the hell he’d gone. For a split second, I actually wondered if I’d conjured him up from thin air to keep myself occupied as I closed the shop by myself. But the smell of his cologne still hung in the air, his heat like a shadow lingering in the open space.

Let me tell you Melissa Collins knows how to write a hot and steamy book. She has become an automatic read for me. I don’t even read her blurbs anymore. She writes a book and I want to read it ASAP!

Repaired really has it all for me. There is smoking hot men. Swoon worthy moments. One tortured past and one bleak future. Then add in something I didn’t see coming a mile away and this book rocked my socks.  The message behind this story really stood out for me too.

Liam and Parker are the real deal. From the outside their relationship seems highly unlikely but together they fit. A perfect match.

And yummmm Parker had a dominant side that really was delicious.

“He didn’t one need to give up control, he needed to give it someone who could be responsible enough to take it, yet caring enough to earn it. “

I HIGHLY recommend this book to all romance fans. If you haven’t ever given M/M a try, I strongly suggest it! And Melissa Collins will blow your mind.

Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream.
Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series was born.

Forget by NA Alcorn

Book: Forget (Changing Colors #1)

Author: N.A. Alcorn

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date – 16th June

Brooke Sawyer is a successful record producer living in L.A. She has endured a lifetime’s worth of pain, but despite everything she’s been through, she still has the biggest heart.

She’d do anything for the ones she loves, even putting their needs above her own. When she visits Paris for one month, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with gorgeous musician, Dylan Bissette. But he doesn't know about Brooke's life back home. He doesn't know about Jamie.

The best way to keep a secret is to pretend there isn't one.
Falling in love was not part of the plan.
He broke down my walls.
And the moment he whispered, "You've wrecked me, Little Wing," I was done for.
I didn’t mean to fall in love, but Dylan made it too easy.
Meeting her was fate.
Pursuing her was a choice.
But falling in love with her was out of my control.
Brooke ruined me for everyone else.
Music connects them, but secrets may keep them apart.
This is just the beginning. Changing Colors, Part One

WOW! Just WOW. I love every book that NA puts out but this book blew me away. The entire book was fabulous. I could not put it down. You will immediately get the feels with this book. The emotional connection with this book starts on page one and doesn't let up even after you finish it. After I finished I sat there staring at my kindle trying to get control of my emotions. I haven't had a book hangover in a while but this book definitely gave me one. I thought about Forget constantly for days afterwards. I would see something and it would remind me of the book. If that doesn't show you that it's a good book I don't know what will.

Brooke Sawyer is a girl I fell in love with. I loved everything about her. She was smart, beautiful, and strong willed. Sometimes a female lead isn't written well and you can't connect with them. Not the case with Brooke, or any of the female leads in a NA Alcorn book.  Brooke is on the trip of a lifetime in Paris. Her grandmother set it up for her and Brooke is full filling her wish. I enjoyed Brooke checking off all the items on the bucket list that Millie left for her. NA did her research for this book and it really showed in all the little details. I love when I book is so well written with true facts.

Dylan Bissette. Oh my. This man is officially on my list of book boyfriends. I really need this man to be real so I can stalk him. Dylan is the perfect amount of swoon and sexy. There was not one thing I didn't like about him. How can you not love a sexy Brit musician? I highly recommend meeting this man. You won't be disappointed.

We can't forget about Brooke's best friend, Lindsay. That girl is full on awesome. Her sassy mouth had me laughing throughout this entire book. NA knows how to write supporting characters. Every supporting character in every single on of her books is best friend material. I would love to be best friends with any of them.

Forget is the story of heartbreak and love, mixed with humor and suspense. You will root for these characters from the beginning. There is also a mystery throughout this book that will keep you hooked and wanting to read as fast as you can. Who is Jamie?! What is the big secret that is surrounding him? Let me just say I HATE Jamie. Seriously, he's an asshat.

NA has solidified her spot on my instant one click list. She could write a book about umpaloompas that live under the sea and I would read it. If you have never read one of her books you are seriously missing out. Her writing style is on point and you can't help but fall in love with not only her characters, but the author too. She's a rad chick and you really should get to know her.

Speechless.......seriously speechless. Forget was amazing AH-MAZING. I have been a fan of NA Alcorn's since her first release. Her writing gets better and better with each book, but in Forget she blows it out of the water. She has the talent to write a great story with emotion, angst, and knows exactly where to insert humor that makes you laugh out loud. She also knows how to write a secondary character. There wasn't one character I didn't like.....well there is still one I'm unsure of because he is such a mystery.

Right from the get go Forget will give you the feels. We are taken on an adventure when Brooke travels to Paris on a mission to complete a bucket list her grandma gave her. While she is there she meets Dylan. Dylan is a hot, sexy musician and they are instantly connected through music. Brooke never believed in fate....she never thought it was in the books for her to fall in love and find "the one". Slowly she starts to think that maybe just maybe she was wrong. There was only one problem....Jamie.

Once you pick up this book you will be hooked from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down and when I had to I couldn't stop thinking about it. What was gong to happen with Brooke and Dylan? What other kind of shenanigans would Brooke get herself involved in with her best friend Lyndsay? Who the hell is Jamie and what's his deal?

Forget was a nice breath of fresh air that I would highly suggest you read. NA has quickly become an author I will one click as soon as the book releases, no matter what she writes.

N.A. Alcorn resides in Northern Kentucky with her husband and son. Never following the norm, her style of romance “flies [outside the box.]” She is the author of the wildly hilarious Infamous Series, and has also delved into romantic suspense with her third release, Covertly Strong.

She loves music, can’t take a proper selfie if her life depended on it, refuses to parallel park, and probably has the most obnoxious laugh you’ll ever hear. If she could live off coffee and Reese’s Cups, she’d be one happy lady.
