We are beyond thrilled to share the cover of Luke's Absolution by K.L. Kreig, the third book in the Colloway Brothers series. This is a standalone that is full of serious heat and tons of sparks - it's coming on March 28, 2016!

Demons. Regrets. Absolution.
Luke has lived on the wrong side of the law since he was seventeen. His hands are stained and his soul is black, but the worst sin he's committed is falling in love with his brother’s girl. Then he met her. Addy Monroe is pure, innocent and stubborn as an ox. Even though he doesn’t deserve her, Luke will stop at nothing to have her. But just when happiness is within his grasp fate rips her away, reminding him once again that there is no absolution for sinners. Will Luke be able to let color fill his blackened soul?
From the first time Addy saw Luke Colloway over ten years ago she wanted him. Addy has been attracted to rough, crude, inked bad boys with a bike planted securely between their thighs and wicked promises falling from their lips her entire life. Every one of them has let her down. Every one of them has broken her heart. Every one of them has put her second. She's never going to let that happen again. When Luke promises her a future, will Addy let him in only to have her heart broken again?
Book 3 in a 4 book series. Each book features a different brother and each can be read as a STANDALONE. To get the full Colloway Brother experience, however, it's most enjoyable to read in order.
***Mature readers only, 18+. Features alpha men with foul language and penchant for hot sex.

I’m just a regular ol’ Midwest girl who likes Game of Thrones and am obsessed with Modern Family and The Goldbergs. I run, I eat, I run, I eat. It’s a vicous cycle. I love carbs, but there’s love-hate relationship with my ass and thighs. Mostly hate. I like a good cocktail (oh hell…who am I kidding? I love any cocktail). I’m a huge creature of habit, but I’ll tell you I’m flexible. I read every single day and if I don’t get a chance…watch the hell out, I’m a raving bitch. My iPad and me: BFFs. I’m direct and I make no apologies for it. I swear too much. I love alternative music and in my next life I want to be a bad-ass female rocker. I hate, hate, hate spiders, telemarketers, liver, acne, winter and loose hairs that fall down my shirt (don’t ask, it’s a thing).

Waiting on Wesley Book Blitz

In the small town of Bailey, country music, motorcycles, and reckless teenagers are the norm. Fallon Davis and Wesley Jones are no exception. That is, until Wesley disappears from Fallon's life when she needs him the most.
After losing everything important in her life, Fallon replaces her love for Wesley with hatred. Fifteen years later, Fallon has quit waiting on Wesley. She is ready to focus on her life, career, and friends at Backwoods until the unthinkable happens. Wesley rides back into town, and he quickly realizes Fallon wants nothing to do with him, but will he take no for an answer?
Will Wesley be able to win over Fallon, or will the memories of their past be too much for their future to handle?

I always love a mystery and when this book came up for review from a "Mystery Author" and the synopsis was good I took a fly leap. Lets just say I am glad that I had my parachute on because this was a pretty rough landing. First, I did not know that this was a novella- which is in no way a fault of the story- but I hate novellas. Unless they are from a series that I am reading and they tie in with the rest of the series. I like when I can get my emotions around a book and really get to know the characters. In a novella you really can't do that. The stories feel like you are wanting more and the story is rushed, and that is pretty much what happened with this story.
I really liked the personalities of Wesley and Fallon. Fallon is your typical girl who has lost it all and is not taking any crap from anyone. Wesley is a bit different. You have your stereotype of what you think that a biker guy is going to be and Wesley may not exactly fit into that mold. I love that even after all of the years that they have been apart you can feel the love that they have for one another. This is where I really think this would make a great full length book. I would say though that the sex in this book is pretty hot. Whoever this author is (and yes we know that it is some other author with a pen name) they know how to write a steamy sex scene.
If you are looking for a short biker book you can read while you are waiting for the train or the Dr, this is for you. Although, sometimes short, sweet and hot are all we need.

“What can I get y’all boys?” I ask sweetly, still avoiding his eyes.
“We’ll take a round of SoCo for starters,” the chunky one states with a wink.
“Five SoCos, comin’ right up,” I say as I go to grab the shot glasses. Then I hear his raspy voice, and my body betrays me. Stop it! Don’t do that! Everything within my body comes alive with the sound of his voice.
“That’s four shots and a Coke,” Wesley states. I turn on my heels quickly.
“Coke? Are you sure?” I question, and he nods in agreement. “You want it in a shot glass, too?” I ask like the smart ass I’ve become over the years.
With a husky laugh, he answers, “Whatever you want to do, Pumpkin.” I stiffen at the name, but don’t turn around. I haven’t been called that since the day he rode away. After gathering myself together, I pour him a shot of Coke into a glass. He smiles when I place it in front of him.
“Come on, Pumpkin. Pour yourself one. I think me rollin’ back into town calls for a toast.” I roll my eyes, and then Paige hands me a shot glass of Coke. Raising my glass, I put one hand on my hip and wait for his toast. “Here’s to us, Pumpkin. Past, present, and future.” I clink my glass and when it touches my lips, I quickly realize it’s not Coke, but rather sweet cinnamon that burns the entire way down. I’m thankful to have Paige to count on when I need it most. Slamming down my shot glass when I finish, I turn and walk out of the bar and into the back room, holding myself together until I’m alone.

Blog Tour Review: The Letters (A Carnage Novella) by Lesley Jones
The
Letters: A Carnage Novella Book Summary
It's just a box of letters, right?
Words that were written a long time ago.
From a boy to the girl that he missed. From a man to the woman he loved.
But what if those words carried more impact than anyone realised?
Will they finally give Georgia the closure she needs and lessen the guilt she battles every day?
Or will everything she thought she knew about the boy and man who wrote them and the life they shared be forever altered?
All will be revealed in The Letters.
A story about life, love, and acceptance.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I LOVE the Carnage
Series. It is one that has stuck with me over the last year plus when I read
the first book. Lesley Jones keeps giving us more of the story in new and
refreshing ways. The Letters were a perfect complement to the series. And I’m
happy to say that this is the first one in the series where I wasn’t bawling my
eyes out while reading it.
Georgia has been holding onto a box of her late husband,
Sean for over a decade. While her husband, Cameron is away on a business trip,
she digs out the box and starts reading Sean’s letters that she never saw
before. Letters where he poured out every thought and feeling he had over the
course of their relationship and break up.
These letters gave the reader a huge insight to what Sean
was feeling during the hard times. We found out that he knew things, Georgia
didn’t know he knew. But the letters brought back the guilt Gia harbored over
loving two men so deeply.
I will say that I’ve always loved Cam but this book really
sealed the deal for me. He is such an amazing man, father and husband.
Understanding and patient are not strong enough words for him. He loves Georgia
so much that it really makes their love story even better than Georgia and Maca’s
to me.
If you’ve read the Carnage series, you must read this
novella. It really adds so much to the story. I can’t wait for more from the
Carnage family.
Carnage: The story of us Book Summary
I love him, from the instant I set eyes on him when I was just 11 years old I have loved him and nothing will ever change that, he owns me, he owns my heart and he owns my body and no matter how many lies are told, no matter how many people conspire to keep us apart, despite the fame and the distance, we will find a way.
“Georgia Rae, when we made love you used to cry”… He waits for me to sing my bit. I try to swallow down a sob but I just end up singing through it…
“I said I love you like the stars above, I’ll love you till I die”
Carnage, an edgy coming of age love story that breaks all the rules and transcends the decades. Georgia and Sean's story will stay with you long after you read the final word.
An emotional, smoking hot, gut wrenching read.

Marley: A Carnage Novel
Want to know what really happened in
that hotel room in Paris?
Want to know if the rumours of
Marley, Sean and their sexploits were true?
We got to watch Georgia fall apart
but what was Sean going through in those four years they were separated?
Marley will give you the answers but
he might just break your heart along the way.
"‘So, they want me to write a
book? They want to know about my band, my life, my loves and my losses. But
they have no idea what they’re asking for. If I give them what they want,
they’ll get so much more than the sex and drugs and the rock and roll they’re
expecting. They’ll get the secrets that I’ve kept for so long, they’ll get an
insight into the person I really am, or at least was. They think they know my
story, they know nothing.
If I do this, if I write honestly and
give them the ugly truth, people will get hurt. People that I love, people that
have already suffered in the worst possible ways.
Do I do this, or do I walk away?
Taking my secrets to the grave."
Marley is an adult contemporary
romance. It contains content suitable only for grownups with an open mind.
There are scenes of group sex which include m/f/m a little bit of f/m/m and
even some f/f/f/m/m/f/f/f. There is drinking and drug taking involved. A lot of
swearing, some Essex slang and some very high emotion. Please don’t complain
after reading this book that you weren't warned.
And yes, of course you’ll need tissues.
Lesley was born and grew up in Essex, just outside of London, England but moved with her family to Australia in 2006 and now lives close to the city of Melbourne. As well as writing, Lesley is an avid reader and also enjoys watching a game of football- the round ball version- while sipping on a glass of wine, during her down time. Despite now living in Australia, she is still an Essex girl at heart and remains partial to her waxing, tinting, sculpting and shellac routines. Lesley is a huge fan of social media and can often be found chatting to her readers in her various groups. She is a sucker for a reality TV show, with TOWIE being her obvious favourite.

Blog Tour Review: Out of Focus by L.B. Simmons
*** Upper New Adult Spinoff Standalone to the USA Today
Bestselling Novel, Under the Influence***
“Shhhh, Cassandra, it’s our little secret.”
Secrets are stubborn things when they refuse to remain
hidden. They tear through your soul, clawing and lashing until the pain becomes
so unbearable, you’re left no choice but to silently scream your agony. No one
hears you, of course. You smile on the outside and drift through life as though
your mind is at peace, but all the while, you remain your own tortured
prisoner. Sealed inside the darkened, soundproof room of your conscience,
deafening cries echo as you plead for someone to unlock the door and release
you from your nightmares. And eventually, when no one comes, you find ways to
cope. To dull the suffering the only way you know how.
But what happens when you’ve become so numb, when everything
around you has become so blurred, that you begin to lose focus on the saving
grace standing directly in front of you? When you’ve anesthetized yourself to
the point of losing consciousness, forced to watch as his once solid image
fades away, lost to your reach in the haze as it smothers you?
What do you do then?
You fight. You heal. Then you bring him back.
Well, my name is Cassie Cooper, and it’s time.
No more secrets.
This is my story.
***WARNING - The
subject matter of this novel centers around the psychological effects due to
sexual abuse experienced during childhood. For this reason, as well as sexual
situations, language, and adult themes, suggested reading age is 17+.***
GOODREADS:
“You’ve been
watching my apartment?”
Grady’s mouth
quirks and when my eyes fall directly to his perfect lips, the heat from before
resurges between us. I swallow deeply as he slowly inches forward, the warmth
of his body searing my skin as he hovers near me. Then those lips pass my own
to land on the shell of my ear before he whispers, “My men watch your apartment.”
He chuckles and
his heated breaths fan my ear, sending a wave of goosebumps rising along my
skin. “For the first time in my career, I was forced to take myself off surveillance. Because while
my main objective was to keep an eye on your surroundings, all I could focus on
was beautiful, irresistible you. I couldn’t
tear my eyes away from you, and because of that, my involvement was
compromised.”
By this point,
I’m no longer breathing, so as soon as he retracts his presence and is once
again relaxing in his chair, a whoosh of air enters my lungs. After drawing a
long breath in and releasing it, I do the only thing I can do.
I blink.
Grady chuckles.
I blink again.
Then I clear my
throat and break my one-question rule, again. “Exactly how long have you been watching me?”
Grady leans
forward, pressing his forearms on his thighs and lacing his hands so they
dangle between his knees. Then he opens his mouth and completely blows my mind.
“I’ve been
watching you long enough to know something broke you. Something you keep
hidden, something that weighs on your soul. You pretend, but your eyes betray
you. There’s pain hidden within them, but when you smile, really smile, the pain is gone and you’re you. Not the person you pretend to be. And like I said earlier, I
find that very interesting. I want to know what makes you smile, how to make
you smile, and how to keep that smile a permanent fixture on that gorgeous face
of yours. And more importantly, I want to know why you feel unworthy of that
smile, and how to fix that too.”
He gives me a
crooked grin and shakes his head. “I guess what I’m saying, is I would very
much like the chance to get to know you,
if you’ll let me.”
I blink, then
swallow. Because once again, there is nothing I can say that could ever match
that.
He laughs
silently, gorgeous smile on full display, then extends his hand. “Do you trust
me?”
Trust. It’s
another one of those small words that carries such profound meaning.
I trusted once.
And it was that trust that broke me.
I dared to trust
a second time.
And the evil hands of Silas Kincaid slaughtered that.
I don’t know if I
have it in me to trust a third time. I really don’t. Not with someone who makes
me laugh, or someone who makes me feel things completely unprecedented. Someone
who without a doubt carries the power to completely shatter me.
Right on cue,
voices slither through my mind, screaming their protest. Their warnings.
Only Spencer deserves
light and sunshine.
Not you, Cassandra.
Never for you.
You will always be
alone.
All alone.
As you deserve.
I look away to
the empty chairs across the table.
The voices
rejoice in their victory while the obvious fact in front of me slices another
gash in my chest.
I’m all alone.
Grady’s voice is
barely heard about their yelling. But soon, the soothing tenor enters my mind
and stifles their screams. “Don’t get lost in that head of yours. I’m right
here. Focus on me.”
I tear my gaze
away from the chairs to find myself immersed in a beautiful sapphire stare, so
earnest and sincere as his outreached hand remains, waiting for me to find the
courage to take hold. My chin trembles and moisture coats my eyes. I swallow
and allow his stare to fortify me as I attempt to will the voices away.
I’m so tired of pretending.
And maybe it’s
the prolonged exhaustion, but as I root myself into those damn eyes, I find
myself succumbing to their comfort.
I know I cannot
fully grant his request.
Or can I?
As I search deep
within myself, I find there’s just not enough courage left in my reserve.
But still, I
want.
But you don’t deserve that. You never have.
I want.
But you can’t have.
God, do I want.
Inhaling deeply,
I hold his gaze and after several heavy seconds, I finally release my breath.
My arm reaches forward, and as his hand wraps around mine, I revel in its
warmth. It travels through my body and its heat settles in my cheeks. I narrow
my eyes, but decide in this moment, I will give him all I can give. “I want to trust you.”
Out of Focus by L.B. Simmons is brilliant, captivating, and gut wrenching. After meeting Cassie in Under The Influence, I never could have imagined her story would be one with such horrors and heartbreak.
I don't want to get into the nitty gritty details about Cassie's life, but I do want to talk about all the feels while reading Out of Focus. Cassie's story for me was unimaginable. Her childhood was nothing short of a nightmare. As hard as it was for me to stomach at times, I know it must have been harder to write it. L.B. Simmons is never afraid to wade into the deep end and immerse herself in waters that most would never tread. She writes with such poise and elegance. Simmons takes the unbearable details and marries them with discretion to create this balance where readers are able to grasp the severity of a situation without being completely turned off by it.
I also fell head over heels for our hero. How can you not love Grady? He's the silver lining in this immensely dark cloud. There's something beautiful about his love for Cassie. Out of Focus shows readers that love can be strong enough to wipe the dirtiest of slates clean. If you're looking for a powerful read that will leave you breathless, pick up Out of Focus by L.B. Simmons today!
LB has done it again. A story so amazing, I got sucked into
the story the second I open the first page. LB gifted us Cassie’s story. Cassie
is Spencer from Under The Influence’s best friend. Cassie was a huge part of
Spencer’s story so to hear her voice was great.
We learn all about Cassie’s demons. We learned the hell she
went through as a child that shaped her into the woman or shell of a woman she
became. Cassie’s story is heart breaking and horrible. I hate some people in
her life who didn’t make her feel deserving of their kindness and love.
When Grady entered her life, she started to believe she was
worth something. Grady is kind, loving, patient as all hell and understanding
of Cassie. Even though he had no idea the secrets Cassie kept from everyone, he
loved her.
This book is about overcoming a past so dark, there is no
light. The author did a remarkable job writing about such a sensitive topic.
There was a perfect balance of painting a horrible picture and fading to black.
One thing that I absolutely loved was LB brought back characters that I LOVED
from her previous books. Not only did we get Spencer and Dalton but we got to
see Aubrey from The Resurrection of Aubrey Miller.
Another great book by an amazing author. I loved every word
and if you haven’t read LB Simmons yet, I urge you to. Her words are beautiful.

Brings her home.
Jade Childs spent ten years in captivity, but now that she’s back, the real battle for survival begins. The media shadows her. Flashbacks haunt her. Her old life evades her. Her so-called new life rejects her. She spent too many years in the dark to recognize the light. She spent too long repressing her feelings to remember how to express them. She spent a decade abandoning hope and cannot dare letting it back into her life. Jade’s not just defined by what happened to her—she’s collared to it.
When the twenty-seven-year-old woman is found,
A community wants to know the story,
Parents want to forget the story,
Friends want to be a part of the story,
And the man who still loves her faces the greatest challenge yet: letting her go.
He holds my eyes, not letting them wander away from him. “Why have you been avoiding me?”
I wander my room, not sure where to go now that he’s here. I’m not sure where I fit now. I’m not sure where I belong in his life.
“You know why,” I say quietly.
“I want to hear you tell me.”
“Why?”
“So I can change your mind.” His hands slide into his front pockets, and the sunlight catches on his dad’s watch and casts golden beams through the room. It lights up like someone just lit a million candles at once. “I can’t do that unless I know exactly why you don’t want to see me.”
He wants a reason? I’ll give him a whole list of them.
“Because I don’t want to drag you into my mess of a world any more than I already have. Because I don’t want to smear you through the mud on the media’s march to burying me. Because I don’t want to hurt you—again—and because I want to protect you.”
“I can protect myself from them.”
I shake my head and cover my chest with my hand. “To protect you from me.”
Torrin’s jaw hardens. He works it loose the moment after. “I don’t need protection from you.”
“Everyone needs protection from me. There’s something dark in me now, Torrin, and I can’t get it out. It’s growing, spreading, and I don’t want it to infect the people I love.”
He pushes off the closet doors and crosses the room before I know he’s coming. “There is nothing dark in you, Jade. Nothing.” He backs me into the wall and stares at me, unblinking. “There is light and good in you. There always has been. There always will be.”
“That’s gone. He took it from me.”
“No, he didn’t.” Torrin’s hand slams into the wall beside my head. “It’s still there. You had to bury it to keep it safe, but it’s still there. You’ll find it. I know it.”
I want to believe him, but that doesn’t make it true. “You can’t find what isn’t there, Torrin.”
“Dammit, stop talking like that,” he says, his jaw tensing.
“It’s there. I know it.”
“I’ve tried. I can’t find it.” Even as I say it, I start to feel different. It’s because of him being so close, saying what he is in the way he is. He’s the tether that keeps me from floating away.
His eyes lower to mine. “I’ll help you find it.”
I feel my heart again. My lungs. Everything else. I feel it waking up. “What makes you so sure you can find it?”
“Because when I look in your eyes, I still see it.” His other hand fits against the wall beside my head. “Because when I’m close to you like this, I can still feel it.” He leans a little closer, and I feel something too. “It’s there, Jade. It’s not gone. He took ten years of your life—ten years.” The corners of his eyes crease as an emotion fires in his eyes. “Don’t hand him the rest of it by believing that kind of shit.”
