What a fun story by Sherilee Gray. This is the first book I've read by this author, but it won't be my last. Wrecked is book 3 in the Axel Alley Viper series. It can most definitely be read as a standalone. I had no problems following the story since I hadn't read the two previous books in the series.
I really enjoyed how the author made the heroine feminine, independent, and totally rocking in a profession that is traditionally for men. See, she is partners, with two other women, owning an automotive restoration and service shop. Piper is such a fun character! The things she came up with to get Cole's attention were classic! As you can guess, Cole is the hero of this story. He is a former police officer who is now managing a security company for his best friend (and Piper's older brother).
There has always been a spark of attraction between Cole and Piper. In fact, they have loved each other from afar since they were teenagers. They both have reasons why they didn't take the plunge and admit their feelings. However, it seems fate is stepping in to get them together. They both have issues now to work through. Add in some suspense and a stalker and you have a story that is the whole package!
