Destructive Release by LU Ann Blog Tour

Destructive Release Blog Tour Banner

Destructive Release: A Destructive Novel Destructive Release is the third and final book in A Destructive Novel Series and picks up where Destructive Choices left off. A beautiful pearl is created from the smallest grain of sand. My fingers trace a pattern in the sand, how can something so precious come from something so painful? Grief-stricken, Lacey realizes reality has caught up to her. She was silent, but it kept her trapped as if she was a frightened little girl. When Lacey finally speaks up, secrets are uncovered that will forever haunt her. She made choices, but they seemed to only hurt those she loved. When Lacey tries to stand up for herself, she is confronted with a choice. A choice she will be forced to live with for the rest of her life. If life hands you more grief than happiness, what will it take to move on? When the guilt of letting someone down consumes you? Drowning in her sorrow, will she be able to pull through her inner demons to obtain happiness?

I have waited and waited for this book. LU Ann left us with a doozy cliffhanger at the end of Destructive Choices. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. I will say that I wasn’t disappointed with this book. I think it tied up all the loose ends and Lacey is a stronger person at the end because of everything she went through.

Destructive Release is the third book in the Destructive series. Now  where to begin without giving away any spoilers for this book. In true Lacey fashion life isn’t easy. We start off where Destructive Choices left off, with Lacey dealing with Evan being kidnapped, the possible death of her husband, and grieving the death of her mom.  Things are an uphill battle for Lacey and her family. With the support of her family and friends she somehow finds a way through all of it. I really wish I could tell you more, but if I do it would spoil the whole book.

The Destructive series is not a light hearted, easy read. It deals with abuse, depression, medical diagnoses, death, and love. For many of us we deal one or more of those on a daily basis. I applaud LU Ann for putting this out there. This story isn’t one of fiction but it’s her life. It’s what she has dealt with day in and day out.

Author L.U. Ann moved to Colorado from the Eastern Shore of Maryland with her husband and two children. Life in Colorado is so much different. In Maryland, you would find her in the garden tending to her vegetables and flowers, sea glass and shark tooth hunting once a week, and enjoying the kids swimming in the backyard. Her life took a drastic change when her family moved to their own “Little House on the Prairie" at an elevation of over 6,000 feet above sea level, and a semi-arid climate that makes it hard to grow anything. While barely anything can grow where she resides now, the wildlife makes up for it. Mountain Lions, and coyotes, and rattlesnakes, oh my! She tries to spend a little time each day writing, but domestic chores around the house usually take precedence. She would much rather hide them from her husband. She tends to her loving four-legged children who at times become much too demanding when she locks herself in the office. This often results in MORE domestic work, and she finds herself cleaning up after their deviant behavior. At night, you’ll find her begging the kids to go to bed so that she can catch up on the latest book before her sister can. Yes, she is an avid reader who escapes her chaotic but wonderful home to the feisty depths of romance land in search of her newest book boyfriend. Shh, don’t tell her husband. She is an artist by the grace of God. She worked as a set designer for six years, helping establish a local children's theatre where she was the scenery artist, set, and prop designer. Before that, you would find her covered in paint, so engrossed in painting a mural that time didn't exist. Graphic design is her guilty pleasure. Destructive Choices is the second book in The Destructive Series. Each book will hit its reader with lots of angst hoping for a happily ever after.

Cover Reveal: Conspire by Erin Noelle and S.E. Hall

Coming: August 26, 2014

"He wants answers.

She wants freedom.

The search is over...when they Conspire."

Jocelyn:
“Race ya there,” I snicker, darting towards the bedroom I moved our clothes into, tossing his bag into the hall.
            Let the games begin.
Somehow, he beats me down to the water – imagine that. With steeled armor, I keep my face stoic, my gait and candor unfazed, as I approach, despite the urge to snicker at his bulged-out eyes and jaw dropped into the ocean.
And yeah, I noticed his hand dip below the surface to adjust himself; doesn’t always shrink in cold water it would seem.
His head jerks left, right, then back to me as his eyes narrow to accusatory slits. “What’re you thinking, Trouble? Public beach,” he sputters.
Doe-eyed innocence, my lips twist cleverly. “Not for two miles either direction it isn’t. Besides, what’s the problem?” Surely it’s not my string-thong bikini bottoms and lack of a top?
If you told anyone, even Lys who’s known me forever, they’d bet on hell freezing over twice before believing I’m capable of such audacious, brazen antics, but I’m embracing it, rejoicing in the Jocelyn he brings out. Alive; seeing clearly, smelling flowers miles away, hearing the faintest of sounds – like I just started partaking in, and enjoying, the world that’s surrounded me my whole life.
His mouth curves upward at the corner, a twinkle in his eyes reflecting off the water as he beckons me to him with the leisurely crook of his finger.
“Moi?” I mouth, pointing to myself. My whole body’s buzzing, sexy satisfaction razoring through me as he slowly nods. “Alright,” I huff in feigned inconvenience.
I walk into the water as he walks out, hoisting me up as we meet, wrapping my legs around his waist for me.
“You’ll be my end, Jocelyn Craig,” he says, almost demurely, almost a frown, heading us backward into the deeper water.
“The ending’s supposed to be the best part.” I smile, leaning in to rest my forehead on his. “Do I win the game?”
He glances down at my breasts – nipples hardened from the cool water, his tongue lazily tracing his bottom lip. “I’m afraid you just might.”

Blog Tour Review: Deep Surrendering Episode 5 by Chelsea M. Cameron

With thousands of miles separating them, will Fin and Marisol be able to keep their relationship alive? Or will the distance finally come between them?

Each installment of Chelsea M. Cameron’s Deep Surrendering is even juicier than the last. These brief serials are the perfect palate cleanser and can be read in no time. They’re short in length but jam packed with drama, steamy romance, and twists that will leave you breathless. I have fallen in love with Fin and Marisol and cannot devour their story fast enough.

Fin and Marisol are complete opposites on paper, but something about their connection completely works. Pieces of her personality inspire him to be better than his past while aspects of his life challenge her to step outside of her comfort zone. Their dynamic is beautiful yet there’s something fragile about it, too. As perfect as they are for one another, it’s obvious that this pair is still so far from reaching their happily ever after together.

Deep Surrendering: Episode 5 tests Fin and Marisol’s commitment to one another as they struggle to adapt to life in different time zones. Fin must travel across continents for work while Marisol follows her life’s bland routine counting down to the end of their two month separation. Their story so far has contained some unexpected moments, but nothing I couldn’t tolerate while I waited for the next piece of their puzzle to release. I won’t give away the plot details, but I will say Episode 5 delivered the most shocking turn of events in their relationship so far.

Now I impatiently wait for Chelsea to publish the next episode of Deep Surrendering. If you haven’t been introduced to Fin and Marisol, I highly recommend you spend an afternoon becoming familiar with their torrid affair. Chelsea M. Cameron knows how to write page turning romance, and she definitely delivers with her Deep Surrendering serial.
