After reading and loving The Viper I was super excited to
read The Slayer. Chuito and Alaine’s story was in the background of Marcos and
Katie’s book and I just NEEDED to know what was happening between them.
Chuito is a MMA fighter that came from the gangs of Miami.
Alaine is the innocent girl from next door. Separate they couldn’t be any
different but together they are perfect for one another. Their story is very
push and pull and at times I was screaming at my kindle for them to just get
together. It was evident their feelings but demons held Chuito back.
This book moved a bit slower for me than The Viper did but
once it took off, I was up way past my bedtime reading. Then something that has
never happened before believe it or not, I dreamt about the book. Except I was
a character in it!!! I woke up reaching for my kindle to read more.
I think some of the supporting characters stole my heart in
this book. Tino and Nova whose characters were just touched upon in the first
book were more involved in this one. I can’t wait for their stories which
according to goodreads are coming.
If you like hot MMA fighters, a love story and a bit of
action, definitely pick up this book.
