Avery Bardot steps off
the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a
soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her
best friend Daisy, licking her wounds—and perhaps a gelato or two. But
when her American-expat friend throws her a welcome party on her first
night, Avery’s thrown for a loop when she sees a man she never thought
she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.
Marcello was the man—the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage and—hey, that fettuccine is delicious! And so is Marcello…
Slipping easily into the good life of summertime in Rome, Avery spends her days exploring a city that makes art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over her unexpected what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could this really be her new life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twin-set cardigans and crustless sandwiches?
A celebration of great friendship, passionate romance, and wonderful food, Roman Crazy is a lighthearted story of second chances and living life to the fullest.

A
wonderfully heartwarming second chance romance that made you feel like
you were right there exploring and falling in love in Rome. So vividly
descriptive you wanted to up and buy a flight to get lost in the
history, foods, smells, sounds and people of Italy. Avery was so
endearing. Even if you haven't been in her shoes romantically, you
easily could relate to her need to re-find herself, her passion, true
love, life, and friendships. Occasionally we get so wrapped up in
expectations and every day normalcies we lose a bit of ourselves. A
failed marriage and an unexpected something wonderful from her past,
light a fire in Avery she thought she had lost. Now with a second chance
at a once thought to be lost love, and a career that faded in support
of her soon to be ex-husband, Avery is finding a new lease on life. She
makes no excuses but takes the second chance and runs with it.
Avery and Marcello make a perfectly complimentary couple. Both so passionate about their careers but also each other. Spending time together proves to Avery that the things she thought she lost were still there waiting for her to claim them and live the life she had always dreamed of once upon a time. Marcello is equally as endearing as Avery. He's direct, he's smart, strong, handsome, sexy and the supportive counterpoint Avery needs.
Together they navigate their past, their present and future. One of those reads you don't want to put down, Roman Crazy had a little bit of everything. I look forward to see what comes next for these wonderful characters.
