I absolutely adored this book. Heartthrob is the first book in the American Royalty series. Each book in the series will be about a different Auprince brother and they will completely stand alone. Heartthrob introduces us to Finn Auprince, superstar baseball player, who comes from a very well known background. We also meet Chloe Conrad, social media extraordinaire who comes from humble beginnings.

In case you don't know, I'm a HUGE baseball fan. I watch all 162 games my favorite team plays every season. When I read the blurb and saw this was a sports romance, I knew I had to read it. I've never read anything by Robin Bielman but I'm always on the lookout for a new author. I must say, I enjoyed her writing. Heartthrob flowed nicely and was filled with just the right amount of humor, angst, and emotion. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. Man did I swoon. Finn is downright swoon worthy.

Finn comes from a very rich, very well know family. Thing is, while he loves his family, he doesn't love all the attention that comes with it. You would except Finn to have a major ego and to just be a pompous man that you don't click with. You would be wrong. Very wrong. I loved Finn and was rooting for him the whole time. Finn has had difficulties in life too. I don't want to give too much away, just know that you will fall for Finn too. I guarantee it. He sweet and sexy and adorable.

Chloe Conrad has worked for everything she has. She's also cursed. Every boyfriend she has ever loved have found their one true love while in a relationship with her. Thing is, their one true love ISN'T her. Chloe has sworn off men and has decided she is never dating again. Her heart just can't handle it. Chloe is fabulous at her job. That's why she been assigned to work with the hottest player in baseball. I really enjoyed Chloe. She's your average girl that you can connect with. You will root for her to succeed and get what she deserves.

Overall, this book was great. It was a quick read that is full of emotion. The one thing I wish it had more of was, well, baseball. This book takes place in the off season. While there is plenty of baseball talk in this book, I was hoping for some game action. I will say I can't wait to see the other two books in this series. There was something that happened in this book that segued perfectly for the next book. If the rest of the series is as well written as this one, I know I'll love them. I'm definitely going to look up other books that Robin has written because she has scored herself a new fan.

“Smooth,”I say with a shake of my head. He no doubt compliments every woman he meets. “But overused.” I put out my palm. “Hand over your phone. I’ll take the picture.” He looks like he’s ready to yank the sling off his arm and throw it across the parking lot, but instead he gives in to my request. I put the card down on the hood of my car and snap the photo. After checking to make sure it’s a clear shot, I say, “Would you mind letting me know the cost of fixing your car before we go through insurance companies? I may pay out of pocket.”I hate the idea of depleting my savings account, but it might be the better option in the long run. “Sure.” His fingers brush mine when I give him his phone back, and a surge of heat charges up my arm. Our eyes lock. Hold. “I should also get your digits then—” he glances down at the photo “—Chloe Conrad.” His saying my name shouldn’t make me weak in the knees, but it does. We’re no longer strangers, not that he’ll remember me or give me any thought beyond fixing his car. I snag the phone back and type in my number. Then I call myself. My phone rings from the car. “Now I’ve got your number, too.” I never answer my phone if I don’t know who’s calling. “Would you like a name to go along with it?” “That’s okay.” I hand back the phone. His blue eyes dance. “You already know it.” “Why would I know it? Are you famous or something?” I turn to go before he can see the truth on my face. “I’ll wait to hear from you and uh, sorry about hitting you. I don’t think I said that.” “No worries.” I wish. Life isn’t exactly going to plan at the moment. At least my next job assignment should be easy. My boss said it was a perfect fit and I’d get the details on Monday. “Oh, and Chloe?” I pause before sliding into my car and look at Finn. “Nice try.” He tips his head toward my front bumper and winks. Actually winks! Normally I find winking cheesy, but not when Finn does it. His wink is like a calling card for let’s get naked and run our hands and mouths all over each other. Then it hits me.
