Blog Tour: What the Heart Wants by Kelli McCracken

Do dreams foretell the future? Are there soul connections that go deeper than love?

He can sense her emotions at any place and time. Their bond is powerful but a mystery. One thing he does know: She's plagued his dreams for months. Maybe even longer.

Being involved with a celebrity is the last things she imagined...or wanted. Can she forget the pain from the past? Can he let go of his fears?

What the Heart Wants is a light, quick read. This is a story about fate and soul mates and learning to accept what is.

Dylan is a famous rock star, but he is growing weary of the lifestyle. To add to his weariness, he is losing sleep due to his dreams. He dreams of a woman he has never met. Both in his sleep and when he is awake, he longs for her. So much so, that he doesn't see any other woman. Every one he sees gets compared to his dream girl. Heaven is also having strange, vivid dreams about a mysterious man. These dreams leave her wanting and longing for him, even if he isn't real.

When they meet face to face, it is a dream come true for Dylan. He is determined to get the girl and won't let anyone stand in his way. Heaven is more resistant. While she feels a strong pull and connection to Dylan, she isn't sure she wants to get involved with a rock star and everything it entails. At their first meeting, he had to save her from the paparazzi, and she is also convinced he has a line of girls waiting to get into his bed. Dylan tries to be patient so that he doesn't scare her off. However, his longing for her becomes unbearable and he decides to make a move.

The author created very likable, realistic characters. While the two main characters had an instant connection, the road to their relationship was set at a good pace. They didn't rush into anything, though Dylan wanted to. This, aside from the soul mate connection, made their relationship more believable. All in all, I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to read the other books in this series.

As a curator of characters, you'll normally find Kelli McCracken sitting at her desk, working hard on her next novel. When she's not arguing with those persistent people inside her head, you can find her hanging out on Facebook, chatting with readers about books and upcoming writing projects.

"It seems like all I ever do is write...and listen to Layne. He's always whispering something naughty in my ear, like being dipped in chocolate. Now I'm craving a Kit-Kat. Welcome to my zany life, where sanity is optional, romance is required, and liquor is most definitely quicker. Jack Daniels keeps me sane, my characters, not so much."

Kelli lives with her husband, four children, and her German Shepherd fur baby in the Ohio Valley region in the United States.

Blog Tour: Through His Eyes by Deborah Camp

Two psychics – one serial killer.

Someone is stalking women and murdering them in Key West.

Levi Wolfe and Trudy Tucker join forces to help identify the murderer and stop him. Levi can channel the deceased victims and Trudy can tap into the mind of the killer. As a psychic detective team, they’re formidable. As lovers, they discover that they’re insatiable.

But if Trudy can see through the killer’s eyes, can the killer see her?

Too Tough to Tame
"This is a Wonderful Book."
The book is funny and touching. I have read this book over 50 times already and I never get tired of it. Tess is so cute while Storm is strong and loving. They made a great couple.  -- Amazon review from Snowstar

Tough Talk and Tender Kisses
"Absolute Gold!"
This is definitely the best novel in the "Tough Man" series. The entire series is great; this one just happens to be my favorite. I absolutely adore Reno Gold (hero) and I love how he wins Adele with love and humor.

-- Amazon review from A. Gideon

This is a very well thought out story. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about two psychics, but the author did it really well. The characters complimented each other perfectly and I absolutely loved it.

First, we have Trudy. She is able to get into the killers mind. She sees what he see at the time he sees it. However, she is just learning how to hone her ability with the help of her mentor, Quintara.  Then, there is Levi. He is a seasoned psychic and has the ability to communicate with the deceased victims.

The two begin working to find a serial killer in Key West, Florida who is not just killing women, but mutilating them as well. The author did an awesome job on the mystery and suspense aspect of this story. There were times I would cringe and tense. She definitely kept me on my toes. And OMG how she wraps up the serial killer part of the story is crazy!

Of course this is also a romance, and the author did an AMAZING job with this aspect as well. Each character has so much depth, especially Levi. There was dirty talk, possessiveness, hot, steamy scenes and heart melting, swoon worthy moments.  This book is a perfect example of what I am looking for when I feel the urge to pick up a paranormal, romantic suspense. It honestly has it all. I cannot wait to read the next book of this series!

“Now you’re supposed to tell me that you’re sorry you had dinner with Sinclair and you had a lousy time and you wouldn’t let him kiss you good night.”
Trudy felt a smile tug at her lips. “I’m sorry I didn’t let you know I was going out to dinner.”
“And?” Levi prompted.
“And Tom was a good dinner companion.”
“And?” His eyes darkened.
“And he did kiss me good night. On the cheek,” she added quickly when she saw the fury in his eyes. She brushed a finger against the right side of her face. “Right here.”
“Right where, exactly?” He stepped closer so that she had to tip back her head to see his face. He was suddenly so solemn!
“Here.” She touched her fingers to the spot.
“I’m going to erase that kiss,” he stated.
“What?” she asked, looking up into his face and laughing nervously. Oh. He wasn’t kidding!
“I’m going to obliterate it.”
Her mouth went dry and she couldn’t have moved if a bomb went off right beside her. Passion uncoiled in her belly and spread down between her thighs as he dipped his head and his lips hovered above the spot on her cheek.
“Did you say . . . right here?”
“Yes.” She could barely make a sound, her heart thundered and her knees suddenly began shaking.
His lips touched her cheek with feather lightness. The tip of his tongue wet the spot and then he sucked gently before his mouth lifted. “All gone,” he whispered against her fevered skin. But he wasn’t finished. His lips found the spot again and then slipped sideways until they covered hers. She moaned and brought her hands up to clutch his forearms, using his strength to keep her upright as his kiss flamed from longing to voracious in the space of a breath.
