What's your lucky number?

Lyla Wilder is done being the shy, chemistry nerd extraordinaire. While every other college student it out having fun, Lyla is studying. With her cat. Well, she's played it "safe" quite enough, thank you. So she creates a "College Bucket List"―with item #7 being a night of uninhibited, mind-blowing sex...

But she needs some help from her man-whore best friend.

Hockey player Beck Davenport thought Lyla's transformation would be subtle. Man, was he wrong. With every item she ticks off, Beck finds himself growing seriously hot for his sweet, brainiac best friend. And if he's not careful, he'll end up risking their friendship in order to convince Lyla that he might just be her lucky #7...

I randomly came across this story and am so thankful I did. Getting Lucky Number Seven by Cindi Madsen is a fantastic read from start to finish! I could not put this friends to lovers story down and highly recommend everyone pick up their copy today!

Lyla is nerdy and awkward but also the kind of heroine you want to be friends with. She's trying to break out of her comfort zone and get the "college experience" before her time in college is over. She creates a bucket list and enlists the help of manwhore best friend Beck to cross every item off. I loved watching Lyla's journey from wallflower to stunning co-ed. Her mishaps and naivety only add to her charm. Readers will fall in love with her before they make it through the first chapter.

Beck and Lyla are complete opposites, but their friendship is genuine and built on a solid foundation. As Lyla transforms into a more outgoing adventurous gal, her true beauty shines and suddenly Beck can't deny the feelings he's been harboring deep inside. Beck can have any woman he wants, but watching his struggle and humility as he navigates his feelings for Lyla made me fall in love with him. It gave him a level of vulnerability and showed he is more than just a hockey stud. This hero and heroine had me smiling, swooning, and fretting over their happily ever after.

I am content and satisfied with this story but disappointed I didn't savor it longer. This stand alone is nothing short of amazing and readers are going to love Getting Lucky Number Seven by Cindi Madsen.
