I shamefully admit that this is my first Aleatha Romig
book. But I can promise you it won’t be
my last! Betrayal BLEW me away. This is most definitely one of my favorite
books in 2015. The characters were amazing, the writing flawless and the story
was perfection.
Alexandria (Alex) Collins wanted nothing to do with her
messed up family. Wanting to escape her past life she reinvented herself at
college. After graduating, Alex and her best friend head to a spa before they
go their separate ways for grad school. Alex becomes Charli for the week. A
girl who will shed her controlled behaviors and not think but feel. And feel
she did when she meets to sexy Nox. I loved Alex. She is such a strong willed
character that stood up for herself even though life tried to beat her down.
She’s the type of character you want to invite for drinks and be best friends
with.
Nox, a wealthy sexy man steps in and saves Alex from a gold
digging frat boy. He exudes power and sex and I fanned myself when he spoke.
Nox liked his control and pushed Alex (Charli) sexually and it was done
perfectly. I loved their chemistry and felt their connection jump off the
pages.
There are twists and turns in this book that I will not
spoil for you but they are jaw dropping, a bit messed up but SOOOOOO good.
After I finished Betrayal for days I thought about the characters and story
line.
This book made me fall in love with reading all over again.
It jazzed me and inspired me. I can’t wait for book #2 out in January. Yes,
this book ends with a cliffhanger but it is the best kind. The kind that makes
you think of all the ways the next book might play out.
This book is NOT to be missed!
