#Nerd by Cambria Hebert

Two people from completely different worlds are about to be thrown together…

In more ways than one.

She wants to keep her scholarship. He wants to stay on the team. An awkward alliance doesn’t even begin to cover Rimmel and Romeo’s relationship.

But that’s about to change.

It starts with a dare. An initiation. A challenge.

Quickly, it turns into more. But when you’re a victim of your status, there is no room for anything real. The rules are clear and simple.

Stick to your circle.

And never fall in love with anyone on the outside.

This is the first book by Cambria Hebert that I have read and it won't be my last. At first when I started reading this I thought "I don't know if I like this, it seems like so many other books that I have read" but then it sucked me in. I fell in love with the characters. I fell in love with their story and how everything played out.

Rimmel is a nerd. There is no other way to describe her. She is quite the introvert. She is smart, quiet, clumsy, and overall a nerd. She is a nerd that I loved. I felt for her in so many ways. I was rooting for her the entire time. I wanted her to succeed. I wanted her to win the hottest guy on campus and I wanted her to do it by not changing who she was.

Romeo is the hottest thing to hit Alpha U. He is THE guy. Everyone wants him and everyone wants to be him. I loved being able to see his side of the story. It let me get to know him for who he truly was and not what everyone thought he was. He is so much more than just the hot jock.

I really enjoyed watching Rimmel and Romeo interact with each other. Complete opposites yet they mesh so well together. I LOVED the Buzz Boss. It made each chapter fun.

I wavered back and forth with my rating on this book. I went back and forth between and 3.5 and a 4 and in the end I went with a 4 because I fell in love with the story as a whole. I loved finding out that their story is far from over and that there will be two more books about them. I love that. I want more. I want to see where they go and what happens with them.

Is this story predictable? Absolutely. But it is a light, fun read and sometimes you just need a good sweet read to even out all the angst out there. This is a quick fun read that I think a lot of people will enjoy.

Cambria Hebert is a bestselling novelist of more than twenty books. She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major, and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair.

Besides writing, Cambria loves a caramel latte, staying up late, sleeping in, and watching movies. She considers math human torture and has an irrational fear of chickens (yes, chickens). You can often find her running on the treadmill (she’d rather be eating a donut), painting her toenails (because she bites her fingernails), or walking her chorkie (the real boss of the house).

Cambria has written within the young adult and new adult genres, penning many paranormal and contemporary titles. Her favorite genre to read and write is romantic suspense. A few of her most recognized titles are: Text, Torch, Tryst, Masquerade, and Recalled.

Cambria Hebert owns and operates Cambria Hebert Books, LLC.
