HUGE GROUP REVIEW for Jacked (Trent Brothers #1) by Tina Reber

We all have skeletons in our closets.

Doctor Erin Novak was only sixteen when she was accused of a crime she didn't commit. Since that moment, she has made it her life goal to pursue emergency medicine, pouring her heart and soul into assuring another innocent life isn’t lost to the hands of the wicked.

We all have secrets we've never shared.

Detective Adam Trent has lost control of everything, starting with losing his partner to a punk with a gun and then everything else to the crushing guilt. Now a member of the elite Auto Theft Task Force in Philadelphia, it's his job to be one step ahead of the criminals stealing expensive cars in the city. Too bad the television cameras keep getting in the way of his investigation.

We all have pasts that we can never escape.

A stolen car, a tragic chase, and a traffic stop crosses the fates of these two, tying them together in ways that are unimaginable. As their love and trust grows, so do the enemies that threaten their survival, testing the strength of their commitment. Can true love endure half-truths, past pains, and secrets never meant to be shared?

Some things are just out of our control.

Love Unscripted spin-off featuring Kyle Trent's older brother, Adam.

After reading Jacked I am convinced I would read Tina Reber’s grocery list if she published it. I fell in love with her writing a few years ago when I read her Love Unscripted series and Jacked was as good if not better. Tina took her time writing and perfecting her craft and you can tell by the product she gave us. As much as Jacked is a spin off of Love Unscripted, the books couldn’t be anymore different and can be read 100% as a standalone. Actually, there is just only one teeny tiny line about Ryan Christenson.
Adam Trent is a hot to trot cop working for the Auto Theft division. Erin Novak is an ER doctor in the wrong place at the wrong time. Adam and Erin burned up the pages. The connection and banter with these two was undeniably one of the best I have ever read. Then put them in a bedroom and I needed to fan myself. Adam was an alpha male to a T one second and a loving caring man the next. Needless to say, I fell for Adam hook line and sinker. Tina Reber knows how to write her men.
Erin was awesome too. She really was a strong woman who was still vulnerable. She was real to herself and handled Adam with spunk. I wanted to be her best friend and that to me makes a great character.
Jacked is a top read for 2014. Tina Reber can do no wrong and I can’t wait till the next Trent brother!

Oh my wow. Tina Reber knows how to write. Jacked is intense, sexy, and nothing short of fantastic. For fans of the Love Series who think there’s no way Tina Reber can outdo the greatness that is Ryan Christensen, take a seat and prepare to be blown away. I have fallen hard for Adam Trent and cannot wait for the next installment of the Trent Brothers Series.

Aspects of this novel were familiar and held that “Tina Reber flair” I fell in love with while reading her Love Series -- the meticulous attention to detail and authenticity, the deliciously sinful sex scenes, and the length of the story. Readers are truly getting a full –length novel. Reber’s dedication to her craft is evident chapter by chapter. She has done her research and infused a piece of herself in these characters and story. It’s a rare treat nowadays to come across a story that is so fulfilling from start to finish. You don’t have to wonder what happens next with these characters. All loose ends are tied and their story will leave you completely satisfied.

While Jacked was true to Reber’s writing style, this novel was nothing like the novels she’s written before. It’s dark. It’s intense. There are suspenseful twists in retrospect you should have expected but never saw coming at the time because you were so immersed in the story. Adam Trent and Erin Novak’s world is a stark contrast to Ryan and Taryn’s. I truly loved how different Jacked was from the Love Series.

Tina isn’t a one-trick pony. (As if you would actually doubt her greatness in the first place). This woman has accolades and writing is ingrained in her. If she wasn’t an author it’d be a crime. You must get your hands on Jacked and flirt with the dangerous bad boy Adam Trent.

I feel like I waited forever for this book.  I was jumping for happy orgasams when I heard that she was going to do a spin-off of my favorite series of all time the Love Unscripted books.  I have to admit that I was a little weary because quite honestly, I wanted more of Ryan Christensen.  I was not sure that another character, related to the one character in her books that I wanted to punch in the nuts over and over again, would be able to live up to my beloved Ryan.  Well, I was wrong, or partially.  While Adam does not equal Ryan, he is a close second, and I can live with that.

Adam Trent is a man with a past.  He is a mess after his partner is killed in a useless crime that should have never happened.  He is currently staring in a reality show gone wrong and pretty much hates it.
Erin Novak is an ER Dr who loves what she does, but after being accused of a crime that she didn't commit when she was 16, she is looking beyond the ER to help save the lives of others.

On one of the worst days of Erin's life she is pulled over for possessing a stolen car by Adam Trent, neither one of them is ready for the sparks that are going to fly between the 2 of them.

One thing you will see about Tina Reber's writing is that is is unique.  She draws you in and holds on to your attention like no other author can.  She not only makes you love the characters in her books, but she makes you feel for them and want to see what happens next.  She is not like the cookie cutter authors out there where at that 65-80% mark of the book you are looking for that bad thing to happen that will break the relationship, but will be resolved at 92%.   Her books are so fluid and smooth, unlike a lot of other authors out there.

In Adam and Erin, she has created two very strong characters, who are not perfect, have some flaws, yet you know that they would not allow the other to walk all over them.  We have the alpha male who loves his Japanese form of knots in the be bedroom and the woman who is willing to try it and see what it is all about.

As for action, the storyline is solid and you will not get bored at any time.  It flows so well and there are sharp turns in every corner.  You get what is going on and yet there is that little bit of mystery that makes you wonder what is going to happen next.  There is something going on as a whole, but little things that keep you to keep reading on.

I am hoping that I won't have to wait forever for the next one, Tina said she is working on it now, but I know that it will be worth the wait, just like this one was.

I didn't think that Tina Reber could top Ryan Christensen, boy was I wrong. Adam Trent is HOT and SO AMAZING. I loved this book. I loved every last page of it. Jacked has it all; love, suspense, mystery, humor and super hot sex. It will suck you in from the very beginning and keep you hooked until you get to the last page.

Erin Novak is an ER trauma nurse. I loved her character. She was strong and ambitious and didn't take shit from anyone. I loved how strong she was. She has skeletons in her closet and Tina does a great job of giving you clues so you try to figure them out but doesn't give you enough clues to actually figure them out. She keeps you guessing.

Adam Trent is a detective with the ATTF in Philly. He is a sexy alpha male that anyone will fall in love with. You can't help but love this man. Does he have flaws? Yes. But nothing that stops you from wanting every part of this man. He is seriously capable of being a top book boyfriend. He loves with everything he has. He fights for what he wants and doesn't stop until he gets it.

Fate seems to always bring Erin and Adam together. I loved their story. Is Jacked long? Yes. But I wouldn't cut any part of it out. Everything played out perfectly and it flowed so well. Tina's writing style is perfection. She has a way of sucking you in and keeping you there. Never once did I think this book drug on. I couldn't read it fast enough. I HAD to know what was going to happen. The mystery and suspense in this book was great. I love a book that has a fantastic love story mixed with a mystery that I can't figure out. I hate figuring out what is going to happen by the 3rd or 4th chapter. That didn't happen with Jacked.

I know everyone has waited a long time for this book but it was worth the wait. I want to shout it from the rooftops how amazing this book it. Just like all of Tina's other books this is a MUST READ.

The ending of Jacked set it up perfectly for the next book in the series. I can't wait for that one either but I know it will be another five star read from her once I get it. She is just that good. Nothing she writes is less than perfection and if you have never read anything by Tina Reber  before then you are seriously missing out. She is an author that I will read anything she writes, even if it's a grocery list.
