Reaper's Legacy by Joanna Wylde

Eight years ago, Sophie gave her heart—and her virginity—to Zach Barrett on a night that couldn’t have been less romantic or more embarrassing. Zach’s step-brother, a steely-muscled, tattooed biker named Ruger, caught them in the act, getting a peep show of Sophie he’s never forgotten.

She may have lost her dignity that fateful night, but Sophie also gained something precious—her son Noah. Unfortunately, Zach’s a deadbeat dad, leaving Ruger to be Noah’s only male role model. When he discovers Sophie and his nephew living in near poverty, Ruger takes matters into his own hands—with the help of the Reapers Motorcycle Club—to give them a better life.

Living with outlaw bikers wasn’t Sophie’s plan for her son, but Ruger isn’t giving her a choice. He’ll be there for Noah, whether she wants him or not. But Sophie does want him, has always wanted him. Now she’ll learn that taking a biker to bed can get a girl dirty in every way…

Hi my name is Danielle and I'm a biker bookaholic.
I love them. I crave them. I gotta have them.
And when I want I biker fix I need them and have to read it all the way through with no stopping. Reaper's Legacy was no different. I devoured it and now I'm sad...I want more from the Reapers and I.WANT.IT.NOW!
At sixteen years old Sophie gave her heart and her virginity to Zach. After a less than stellar first time that his stepbrother, Ruger, walked in on, she ended up pregnant. At seventeen years old Sophie gave birth to a son, Noah, thanks to Ruger's help, on the side of the road in route to the hospital.

Seven years later, Sophie is a struggling single mother living in Seattle. Zach, unsurprisingly, is a deadbeat dad who not only never sees Noah, but he also doesn't feel the need to help support him either.

Ruger is still in Noah's life, even though there is a constant tension between Sophie and he. He may be a tattooed badass and member of the Reaper's MC, but Uncle Ruger will and does drop everything for his nephew Noah, who he has felt a bond with since he delivered him.
When Sophie has no choice but to leave Noah with a neighbor or face losing her job, she does so reluctantly. Noah finds himself in trouble and calls not only Sophie for help, but Ruger also, and he and fellow brother, Horse (YAY!), make the trip to Seattle.

When Ruger realizes that Sophie and Noah's situation is not a good one, he decides that they are both coming home to Coeur d'Alene where he can take care of them. Sophie doesn't want to go anywhere with Ruger. She knows that the MC is a part of who Ruger is and doesn't want any part of that lifestyle for her and Noah.

What happens when a female doesn't do what a badass biker wants them to do? Uh- they end up doing it, bitching the entire time; the bitching leads to anger, the anger leads to sexual tension, and the sexual tension? It leads to HOT BIKER SEX!!!! One of my most favorite kinds and OH.MY.GOD does Ruger know what he's doing.
“You shouldn’t assume what I’m capable of, Soph. I’ll be nice and give you a heads-up what’s happening here. I want to fuck you.”

But that's later...I excite easily so you'll have to excuse me.

Ruger moves Sophie and Noah into his basement, which is basically like an apartment, that some of the ladies who are a part of the MC decorated before they arrived. Sophie loves that Noah and she have her own space and she falls into a groove with their new situation.

Sophie is still reluctant in all things club related, but still manages to make friends with some of the old ladies and one of their daughters.

With all the sexual tension and unresolved feelings between Ruger and Sophie you know it's going to be hot when they FINALLY give in and oh yeah- I so wasn't disappointed.
“I think you’re a raging asshole.”
Yeah, well I think you’re a bitch, but my cock likes you, so we’ll figure something out.”
Sophie wants Ruger completely, but not the lifestyle that comes with him. She wants to be the only woman in his bed and eventually the only one in his heart, but Ruger never sugarcoats how he is. She will be his, and only his, but he can't promise that he won't be with anyone else and that is a deal breaker for Sophie. She won't be 'that girl'...she can't be.
“I’ve never pretended to be somethin’ I’m not, babe. I’m not gonna settle down. I don’t want to commit. I love my life the way it is. Most guys feel the same way- the difference between them and me is I’ll never lie to you about it.”
When Sophie's life and an outside issue with another MC collide will she be proven that this lifestyle is what she always knew it was or will she realize that sometimes family isn't a perfect little mold? When Ruger finally decides to claim Sophie completely will it be too late?

As I said I'm a biker book lover. LOVE.THEM. I've read plenty of bad, okay, good, and then fantastic ones. I think there is a fine line between too much and not enough in the biker world - sometimes I want my bikers hardcore, balls to the wall gritty, and other times I want them more 'chill' I guess. Reapers MC falls right in the in between and I love that - this series falls into my fantastic biker category. Hands down a five star read and I'm excited for and have already pre-ordered Devil's Game. I'm so excited for Em's story and wonder who she will end up with - Painter or maybe Hunter (Liam)...and to be honest I can't decide who I want it to be. I'll be devouring it regardless.
***I was given an ARC copy for an honest review.***
