Blog Tour: Finding My Way by Heidi McLaughlin

FINDING MY WAY by Heidi McLaughlin
The Beaumont Series, #4
New Adult Contemporary Romance

Liam Westbury has the world at his feet. He’s the quintessential golden boy. He’s the superstar quarterback for Beaumont High. His girl, Josie, is head cheerleader. He has his choice of colleges just waiting for him. Except he’s suffocating from all the pressure he’s under and no one understands.

Liam Page is the heartthrob he never wanted to be. He’s successful, smart and in demand by record companies and his adoring fans. Music is his passion, his love, but something’s missing. His nights are lonely and he longs for the girl he left behind. Seeing her in every face in the crowd haunts him with the knowledge that she hates him. Going home has never been an option until now.

Be there when Liam Westbury becomes Liam Page and follow the highs and lows of the Quarterback turned Rockstar as he finds a way back to Beaumont in this prequel to Forever My Girl.

If eighteen year old me could ask twenty-three year old me what his life would be like, I’d tell him to stay in college. Life is not what I thought it would be.
Finding My Way is the prequel to Forever My Girl. Note: Once you read this book, you will want to re-read the WHOLE series, you will be sucked in and you will LOVE it. We did. FMW takes us back to when Liam is in high school, college and a bit further when he becomes Liam Page. We get the pieces to the puzzles that we read in Forever My Girl. You will be mad, sad and happy while you read this story. Liam is my, Lyndsie’s, man in this series and he will forever be my number one but I wanted to slap him around so many times and not in the fun way. Liam and his dad have a rough relationship. His dad pushed his football career hard and never took the time to understand Liam’s likes outside of the football life. Liam being Liam wanted to please everyone and not cause a bunch of problems but he struggled with his life on a daily basis. He loved music and had to sneak around to play his guitar. Music helped calm him and he really wanted to be able to pursue it.
My destiny is in my hands except I can't grasp it. Every time I try, it slips through the sand.
High school years: We get to see how Mason and Katelyn come together and watch their relationship evolve. Mason is how Liam finally gets with Josie. What could be better than best friends dating best friends? These four do everything together; even make their plans for college and after college. Mason and Liam are stars on their football team, Katelyn and Josie star cheerleaders. Their path is pretty simple, the boys go to college, head to the NFL and they live happily ever after. If only life works that way.
We head to college: Plans had been made, and plans are broken. Liam is in college and not being able to play for the college team he had chosen is very hard. He wants to quit and visits Josie as often as he can. He knows this is not what he wants out of life but he doesn’t know how to change the path that has been made. He gets an unexpected visitor that shows up and shows him a different life that he didn’t see until now. He decides to try this out for a year and then go back home.

“We’re soul mates, Liam. You’ll always be a part of me.”
Hello Liam Page: Once we get to this portion of the book we get to see how 4225 West is put together. We meet a young Harrison, Danielle’s man, and his start up and you will see how much he has changed since this time. I think this is where I had the most problems with Liam. Oh and Sam… I hate that bitch. Through this portion of the book I wanted to slap Liam and just yell "REALLY, YOU REALLY ARE GOING TO DO THIS?!" Ugh, I'm irritated just thinking about it, but this is how we get Liam Westbury back and you know we love both Liams.

We LOVED every second we got with the Fabulous Four. That’s what we are naming Liam, Mason, Katelyn and Josie. Reading how they grew up and who they have become was a favorite thing in this story. Getting to know Mason though - knowing what happens to him - KILLED us. It was always in the back of our minds while reading. This story will be an emotional ride while you read it, and again we warn you, clear out some time because right when you finish this book you will want to jump right into Forever My Girl, then My Unexpected Forever and finally, Finding My Forever. And well, let’s be honest if you haven’t read this series we suggest you stop reading this review and get freaking to it!

“I love you, Jojo. You’re forever my girl.”
