Edge
Book 3 in Fire on Ice Series
Brenda Rothert
One bad hit has left the career of young NHL Center Luke Hudson in question. When he arrives for rehab with a minor league team, his injury has robbed him of the edge that made him great.
Team trainer Adella Price’s job is to help Luke get back in peak condition. But their one on one sessions shake her resolve to remain unattached. Dell is hands-off to all hockey players, even one as charming and successful as Luke.
As Luke starts to get ahold of his game again, he loses his grip on his heart. Helping Luke get his edge back brings to light what Dell is missing from her life. But those who want them apart are relentless, and with their careers on the line, Luke and Dell must decide if their love is worth risking it all.
It’s been several hours since I’ve finished Edge and I can’t
stop smiling. I have read Bound and Captive from the Fire on Ice series and
absolutely loved them. Edge tops both of them. Brenda’s writing just keeps
getting better. If you have not read the first two in this series, I highly suggest
one clicking them. You won’t be disappointed.
Edge is Luke and Della’s story. Luke is an NHL hockey player
who takes a hit that could end his career. Part of his rehab is being sent down
to the minor league, that’s where he meets Dell. She is the trainer for the
team and is off limits. That doesn’t stop Luke from trying. They are drawn to
each other but know they can’t put their careers on the line to follow through
with that attraction.
When I first read the Fire on Ice series I didn’t think Ryke
could be topped. He was just…sigh amazing. Then came Luke. We get to meet him
in Bound and Captive and I’m so glad we got to really know him in Edge. He has
surpassed Ryke on my book boyfriend list. I also loved Dell. She knew what she
wanted in life and stuck to her guns. She sacrificed for what she thought was
the right thing to do.
I think everyone needs a little Luke Hudson in their life. I
can’t suggest this book enough. Next
Brenda is working on Niko’s story. I
hope he gets his happy ever after and we get to see Ryke and Luke too.
Edge by Brenda Rothert is the third book in her Fire on Ice
Series and is another smashing read! This series has become one of my all-time
favorites, and Edge definitely lived up to the hype and expectations set by the
first two novels. I cannot recommend this series enough and all three books are
on my MUST READ RIGHT NOW list.
The story steps away from Kate and Ryker who readers fell in
love with in Bound (Book #1) and Captive (Book #2), and delves into the life of
playboy and Ryke’s teammate Luke Hudson. I have been dying to get my hands on
his story. His skills on the ice translate off the ice as well, giving him one
hell of a reputation in the bedroom. He cycles through women faster than I go
through a box of Kleenex during cold and flu season. All of that comes
crumbling down when he is injured and forced to recuperate on a minor league
team.
Adella Price is the team trainer for that minor league and
was raised around hockey. I loved her character for her fiery attitude (and
hair) and ability to see through Luke’s smooth talking and charm. Despite her
resistance to Luke’s advances, it’s obvious this stubborn pair is perfect for
other another. The chemistry between this couple is absolutely magnetic and it
creates some seriously steamy moments that readers will salivate over.
I was absolutely floored to get my hands on Edge by Brenda
Rothert. It lived up to the hype of the first two novels in her Fire on Ice Series.
There was drama, shocking revelations, and an abundance of passion – the perfect
combination to hook you from the prologue and monopolize your attention until
the last page. These novels are addictive and Brenda Rothert delivers with each
story in the Fire on Ice Series. Pick up your copies of Bound, Captive, and
Edge today!
